“The Real Deal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2013

I've been to a few historic houses and find this one to be the right size and feels more accessible than others. Apparently there was a group before us and we were the only ones in the house and had the full attention of the guide. Since it's still early Spring, we did not get to enjoy the garden and would like to come back during Summer or Fall perhaps.

“Whisked into history”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2013

For a true historical experience it cannot be beaten. Life in the 1800s as lived by one of the families crucial to London history. Be certain to stop by for summer tea or a tour. The most authentic experience you will have in London.

“Afternoon Tea”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2013

Friends in town? Take them back in time to a relaxing afternoon tea in the back gardens of Eldon House. For $7 a person, you and your guest(s) can view the Thames River while relaxing in wicker chairs, sipping tea, eating hot buttery scones with your choice of jams under the big old tree. The hostess was very gracious and the hours flew by as my guests and I caught up on each other's news. For an extra $3 you can tour Eldon House, which is full of antiques, all beautifully preserved and kept. This gem of an pleasant afternoon is by reservation only, and believe it or not, fills up fast in the summer. It is well worth it!
