“A Great Stop Over Between Toronto and Detroit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2013

This is a great Best Western "PLUS" hotel. We decided to leave Toronto Thursday evening and head towards Detroit for a few days. We stopped overnight at this hotel to get some rest and start back early the next day towards Michigan.

We had dinner at Pastos Grill in the hotel. The atmosphere was lively and the restaurant was nearly full. Although there were many people, we still felt that we had our own intimate dining area right at our own table. The service and the food were great. There is something for everyone on the menu.

We got settled into our room and stayed in the King executive room. It had a great lounge chair and sofa seating area. The sleep experience was great and had a very good night's sleep. The room looked so brand new. Our room had all the amenities we needed. High speed internet, mini-refrigerator, flat panel TV and more. Our room was very clean, looked clean, felt clean.

The hallways look brand new and it felt like walking through someone's luxuious home. The lobby and business centre was impeccable and great areas to sit in and relax.

We took a walk outside to walk off dinner and admired the chapel on site. It was lit from the outside. The chapel looks like a historical site that was remodelled to proivide modern day conveniences and expectations.

Breakfast the next morning was great. We felt like we were having breakfast in a resort hotel! We had scrambled eggs, sausage and French toast.

We chose this hotel as it is located right off Hwy. 401 with easy access / on off Hwy 401.
Great service, great hotel, great restaurant, great free buffet breakfast at a great rate.

Couldn't ask for more. We like staying here and we look forward to returning on our next trip up/down the 401!

Dear TravellingSpirit2000,
Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback on your recent stay with us and thank you for choosing to stay with us again. It's delightful to learn that you enjoy your stay at our hotel time and time again and thank you for noticing all the new upgrades we continue to make to the various areas of our hotel. I hope you have a chance to stay with us over a weekend when you can actually see our Chapel utilized for a wedding. You will truly enjoy watching as newlywed couples emerge from the Chapel at their happiest. All this can be comfortably enjoyed from a window seat at Pasto's Grill. It's nice to salute each couple as they embark on their new life together. We hope you are able to stay with us again soon.
Sincerely,

In London for a conference and decided to try this hotel. Very nice facilities and close enough to downtown London to make it a very good value. Room was very nice, breakfast was a good variety although the staff were not as attentive as they could be if you are trying to dine and dash. Would definitely consider staying here again.

Room Tip: Was assigned to the accessible room when booked on the internet - would advise asking for a change w...

The bed was awesome for comfort, cleanliness and eye appeal. After traveling across USA and Canada for 5 weeks, you can tell if your bed will hurt your back or not the minute you lay eyes on it. Needless to that all 3 of us were well rested the next morning. The entire hotel was awesome and the staff lovely. I will certainly keep this one as a hotel to revisit.

I just came back from two wonderful nights at this hotel. Staff very helpful and welcoming. Rooms lovely. Fridge included. Very good hot free breakfast. Clean rooms, lovely lobby, - the hotel is nicely decorated. The location is very handy to highways but not much to view. Other than the view, I highly recommend this Best Western. I hope to stay again if I am in the London area. Thanks to the great staff.

Perfectly fine for an overnight stay, but dont expect to find any amenities nearby. I arrived at 10pm after a long day, and found that the restaurant was already closed. There's nothing nearby, not even a convenience store to get some junk food. To find anything to eat/drink/gas up your car, you have to drive into London.

Front desk clerk was friendly, room was fine though the pillows were all too soft (no firm pillows.)
Dont know if breakfast is free for everyone, they did give me a voucher for breakfast since I'm a BW diamond member.

Some little things--just slide my receipt under the door so I don't have to wait to check out at the front desk.

Overall there's really nothing memorable about this hotel, but there's also nothing wrong with it for me to give it a bad review.

Room Tip: Not sure if they actually have rooms that dont face the highway. While my room didnt face the highw...

Dear Gomerpyle,
Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback of your recent stay with us. I'm sorry that our restaurant was not open when you arrived. Pasto's Grill is open for breakfast for all hotel guests each morning and for lunch and dinner Monday through Saturday and dinner on Sunday. Our closing hours vary on Sunday through Tuesday (until 10pm) and Wednesday through Saturday (until 11pm). We will be building a sundry shop to accommodate for guests who do arrive late and pizza delivery is available in the late night hours. I'd like to thank you for being our guest and for choosing our hotel. I hope that you would return for a comfortable nights sleep when you are passing through.

We were in London to go to CanAm RV which is literally just down the road from the Stoneridge so that was our first consideration when we booked the hotel. We were thrilled to discover what a gem we had checked in to, which started right from when we walked in the door. Steve on the front desk pulled up our reservation, said "We've got you on the second floor, that's not going to work for you" and then explained that, having noticed my walking with a cane, the second floor would not be appropriate as there is not yet an elevator (though I understand one is on the way). He got us a room on the main floor and, thankfully, near the lobby end of the hall so no long treks just to get to the room. The room itself was clean and comfortable, the wifi hookup was excellent and the on site restaurant, Pestos, was wonderful - in fact we ate there every night we were in town as it was blustery outside and the food was great and we didn't have to worry about driving back if we had a glass of wine with our meals. I was concerned that it might be noisy as it's very near the 401 but never heard the traffic when in the room and didn't hear the wedding reception and guests on the Saturday night, either. Very quiet. It's convenient to everything in London, without having to fight the traffic all the time. It's about a 15 to 20 minute drive to the University of Western Ontario or downtown and the airport, especially at 5am, is a 20 to 30 minute drive (and the 30 minute drive was at the tail end of rush hour). The staff was consistently helpful and we really enjoyed our stay. We'll stay again when we go down this summer to pick up our trailer. Of note is that there is a lovely wedding chapel on the grounds so you could have a wedding and reception on the same property. The chapel is really a lovely facility and I certainly wasn't expecting that when we checked in.

Room Tip: Until they get an elevator, make sure you specify the mail floor if you have mobility issues.

We found the facility and room very clean and comfortable. The hotel is an easy 20 min drive to downtown London, and is very close to the major highways. The was no elevator, but the staff was more than willing to help with the luggage. The on-property restaurant was very convenient, with pleasant staff.
