“Great Hotel with Competative Rates”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2013

My wife and I stay here every time we come down to visit family and friends and are very pleased with the service that is provided. the rooms are clean and the continental breakfast is free. Having stayed at at many comfort inn hotels in our travels this hotel is by far at the top of our list of places to stay. Yes the hotel is a bit outdated but it is nice to see that things are being updated slowly but surely. Also the staff was great but the phone could deffinitly be fixed as could barely hear individual on the other end while I was making reservations, but over all Excellent experience and hope there will be many more to come.

Favourable ones are shared with our team members and other comments are shared with our team for training purposes and others are shared with our refurbishment team. We are working on the plans for our upcoming renovation and we are certain that once complete our rooms will have a ‘wow’ factor that will help them stick out among the competition. Thanks again for your comments and we are looking forward to welcoming you back to the Comfort Inn Leamington.

They have an excellent place to walk your dogs if you travel with them. The hotel is very tired and in desperate need of an update and a good clearing of the cobwebs......the staff is excellent and very helpful.

Katherine D - Thank you for taking the time to write a review regarding your recent stay. Yes, many people have found our dog run very favourable for their four legged family members. We agree that our hotel is in need of an update and we are very excited to be well into the planning process for our upcoming renovation. As we are making these plans it is imperative for us to hear from our customers on areas to with opportunity for improvement so for that we thank you.

This Comfort Inn is hampered by descending from the former Journey's End chain that was cookie-cutter in style and virtually no space for the complimentary breakfast. The rooms are older but clean, the air conditioner/heating system are relatively noisy. The TV has been updated. Staff was friendly and the location was good for our purposes though it's on a quite busy street. Others have raved about the breakfast; I found it fairly basic though the quality was fine. I'd rate this place between average and very good, but am giving it the benefit of the doubt.

Room Tip: Fairly awkward steps to get to the second floor. Ask for first floor if any mobility issues.

First the bad news, because there's always bad news. Our room was on the second floor with no elevator so it was a bit of a hassle climbing the stairs with luggage. And the view from the room was unfortunate - over the fence separating the property was a house with an abandoned kitchen stove in the yard. And why do they leave you a bottle of water along with the free coffee and tea fixing with a warning in VERY small print that you'll be charged for the water if you drink it? Many hotels now provide complimentary bottles of water so it's easy to be fooled. However, the room was comfortable, the staff exceptionally friendly and pleasant and the complimentary breakfast was the best we've ever had in the Choice Hotels chain: omelet wraps, waffles, hard-boiled eggs, juices, toast, muffins - the list went on and on. And the price was right for the room. To top it off, the Lakeside Deli and Cafe across the street was a perfect spot for lunch. We would definitely stay there again.

The name fits perfectly "Comfort Inn." We've stayed here for the past 18 years every time we are in Leamington. The rooms are always clean and comfortable as is the lobby and breakfast area. The Manager and Staff are courteous and accommodate our of all wants and needs. It's also a joy to see the same staff year after year and for them to remember our names. It means the Comfort Inn chain is not only treating customers satisfactorily, but also their staff. Keep us the great job.

Very comfortable stay. Bedding was clean and little pillows so soft. My husband and I had a very good rest. It was quite full but still did not hear much noise. Might be better to have a better locking system on patio door as could only lock it from the inside.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights while doing some bird watching in the area. The check in went fine and we were given a room on the south side on the bottom floor which is only accessible thru the lobby and with no automatic doors, it was a bit of a struggle with luggage. The room was clean and well appointed with fridge and microwave but was quite outdated. Our main concern was that the bed was lke sleeping on a slab of cement which means you have to flip flop all night long to relieve the pains on the pressure points. The breakfast was very basic ( cereal, muffins, bagels, hard boiled eggs) and although we were used to more variety at other Comfort Inns, it was fine for us. With the limited number of places to stay in Leamington, I would have to say that this hotel is a good bet as it has a good location and the rooms are clean.

Thank you "Ontheroadtwo", for giving us honest feedback as to how we are doing. We agree that our hotel is in need of an update and we are very excited to be well into the planning process for our upcoming renovation. As we are making these plans it is imperative for us to hear from our customers on areas to highlight opportunities for improvement, so for that we thank you. As renovations progress, you will see a new breakfast room, lobby and Simmons mattresses. Many people have many different sleep patterns and the market offers many different mattresses from ultra soft to firm. At Comfort Inn, we have partnered with a brand that have offered a bed that matches the majority of sleep comfort. With renovations to our breakfast room, we will see the new breakfast enhancements that Choice is beginning to roll out and we cannot wait for this upgrade. We appreciate that you took the time to share both the positive and negative aspects of your stay as this allows us to know what’s working and identify areas for improvement. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future once all of our renovations are complete.
