“Historic campus in an entirely urban setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2013

As with several other long-established university campuses, Queen's has expanded by taking over adjacent residential properties and replacing old brick houses with modern buildings. Fortunately, this development has not proceeded a the expense of losing the old original limestone structures such as Grant Hall and Ontario Hall that provide a ongoing reminder of the institution's heritage.

“Preserving the architecture of the past while catering for the realities of the future”

There is a real attempt being made to create an attractive campus appropriate for an older University while catering to the realities of life in the 21st Century

“The Best!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2012

Graduated from here! Great education. When visiting Kingston, it is a wonderful place to visit, historic limestone buildings, new buildings that blend in. Walk the campus through streets and paths. Stop at the Queen's pub for a lunch, snack or brew! Visit the Agnes Etherington Art Gallery, take in the Grant Hall Tower. check out the architecture, art, take a few photos, a great place to see educational history unfold. Take a walk down to the beautiful City Park and Lake Ontario Shoreline!
