“Good food, though a limited menu.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2012

A casual and appealing atmosphere. The food is very good though not a huge menu. Worth checking out but not one I'd go to often because of the limited menu.

“Best burger in town”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2012 via mobile

The window table is the perfect perch to enjoy a glass of wine & a bite before a show at K-rock or the Grand. I had what I lovingly refer to as "the bar special"...soup & a burger. The burger here is perfection. The Works,Harpers,5Guys and even the lobster burger at Le Chien Noir all have serious competition with this baby. Nice spice, yummy sweet crispy fried onions and a floury kaiser that is the perfect vessel for it all. Homemade tomato eggplant soup loses the eggplant but the rosemary kick is so good you don't miss it.

“Very nicely done period building, great atmosphere, decent food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2012

Went to lunch with family to celebrate a birthday. I was pleasantly surprised by the comfortable decor in what appears to be an original period building in Kingston, decent menu and fine beers on tap. Of the 3 meals purchased, 2 of the 3 meals were pretty good and the third left was less than expected. I ordered the daily special which was a venison sausage on kaiser, but there did not seem to be much sausage on the bun. Tasted good but I felt a little disappointed for the price. Also ordered was a burg and chicken sandwich. Both looked good and tasted good. The service was excellent. The coffee to close the meal had also sat a little longer than it should. I'll try this place again in the near future to see if it wasn't just a bad day with the one meal.

“Tucked away but have a look for it..”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2012 via mobile

We came across the place by accident, it's just off the main downtown street in Kingston so we found it by accident! They have a small but comfortable little patio and we had lunch there (3adults&1child). I had the burger and it was tasty, my daughter had the grilled cheese and it looked really good. Everyone was happy with their meals.

I thought the prices were decent. My only complaint is that the kids meal didn't include the drink, just something that I guess we get use to with most restaurants including it in the price.

The service was good, the hostess and waitress were helpful and friendly.

Definitely worth a try if you are looking for casual, nice change from the chain restaurants.

“Love it”

Great spot for local comfort food. Best burger in town. Old limestone building with exposed beam work, beautiful.
