“Great Christmas Party”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago

Company Christmas party was a winner from the beginning: parking was convenient and you couldn't ask for a better location, great for last minute browse downtown while my husband went for a swim. Then back to the Hotel bar which has been recently updated and is very classy.

Our party room was comfortable with a fantastic view of the harbour! the food was amazing and the staff was friendly and there when you needed them. Slept like a baby - would recommend this to anyone looking for accommodation in downtown Kingston!

the newly renovated Radisson Kingston is now the Delta Kingston Waterfront. as the name implies this is right on the waterfront which gives a nice view but the hotel is not high so the view is not far. very modern and clean. the location is prime, near the busy pub/restaurant district. walkable to the Grand Theatre as well. full restaurant and bar open late although I did not try it while I was here. the bathrooms are big and the room size is generous. HVAC is digital and not too noisy. media block in the desk has various connections to the television. WIFI is free with a passcode. hallways are wide and rooms were quiet. only two elevators but not a lot of floors so the wait was average. fridge in-room. front staff was friendly and professional. breakfast is continental or order-only, no buffet and not included in room rate. The pattern in the room carpet (rm124) was already worn out, maybe it hasn't been replaced from the Radisson. The only inconvenience is the parking. the lot is under construction and there are not a lot of spaces. the spaces are tight and large trucks and SUVs need to park up front (if there are spaces). we walked back at 10:30pm on a Saturday and the lot said full. not sure where someone would park because I did not see a parking lot or street parking nearby. once the parking is finished and sorted out this hotel will be near perfect. I look forward to staying again.

Everything was just excellent - accommodations, service, location.
We were in town to see our daughter who attends Queen's U, so we're in Kingston 3-4 times a year. This was our first stay at the Delta and is now the hotel we will book every time we visit Kingston. The room was very comfortable and well appointed with a very comfortable bed. Our other daughter decided, last minute, to stay with us and we were accommodated with a room with a sofa bed. We loved being in the heart of downtown, being able to walk to everything. The view was wonderful. We had dinner one night at Aqua Terra, the fine dining restaurant in the hotel, and it was one of the best meals we have had in a while, again with exceptional service.
Parking is $18/day but it was nice to be able to just leave the car there for the bulk of the weekend and walk wherever we needed to. Had we driven into town, we would have had to pay to park anyway.
We will definitely stay here the next time we're in Kingston!

This is a lovely hotel. Great location, friendly staff. The rooms are spacious, well appointed and clean. I love the multiple plugs for charging/using electronics on the desk. The beds are comfortable and the hotel always seems quiet.

This was the first time we ate in the hotel. We visited the dining room for breakfast. I like the fact that it isn't a buffet menu!

Of course, the parking situation isn't the best - perhaps with the renovations currently on going, the situation will improve. However, having staff situated in the parking area to assist was excellent. Would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: I think all rooms have great views. There probably isn't a bad room - perhaps away from the ele...

This hotel has recently been updated so everything is new and clean and modern. The renovations were done very tastefully. Rooms are small, with small closets, almost no storage space and very small bathrooms. On the flip side, everything has been well designed to make the best use of the space available.

Front desk staff were very good. We changed rooms since our first room was on a floor with a boys hockey team - a group of 12 year old boys who were not being well monitored by their parents! The front desk was very accomodating and we were very happy with our new room that was in a much quieter area of the hotel.

Beds are really comfortable. We had a great view of the water. Only reason I have not rated this better is because of our issues with the noise and the small size of the rooms.

My wife and I stayed for a weekend. The hotel was modern, clean and classy. Staff was quite friendly. I would say closer to a five-star than a three, but we only had a drink at the bar. The room was perfect and better than expected for the price. You can park across the road rather than the hotel and it was free all weekend. Plenty to see, eat and drink all within walking distance. A nice view of the lake from our room. The weekend was St. Pattys so Kingston downtown was hopping, the old world charm of the city brought us back to our trip to Ireland with all the live music. Great experience, not too far from home.

We spent a night at this hotel recently, and, although there was construction going on, it did not affect our stay. One pleasant surprise was the parking of our truck in the hotel car park which can be challenging for high trucks. Once into the car park we quickly realized we were into a parking problem, until, a gentleman steered us into a hidden slot, The gentleman turned out to be the hotel owner,(thank you Michael) now that is service! We had a corner suite, which was lovely, clean, great views, and quiet. The Murphy bed, was a little low for us old folks, but we managed, and had a great time at this hotel. We will be back.

Room Tip: Choose a corner suite.
