“How to Preserve Your Dignity in Kingston”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2013

I stayed at the Four Points Hotel and Suites Kingston for one nights while visiting Kingston. It was a welcome change of pace from the motels outside the city centre.

VALUE: Thanks to Hotwire, I was able to get a deal on my room, enabling me to pay about as much as I had at the lesser Howard Johnson the night before.

LOCATION: The hotel is ideally located in downtown Kingston. The core itself is compact enough to be navigated by foot. Great view from the room too, overlooking what I believe was Wolfe Island.

SLEEP QUALITY: Sleep quality was excellent.

ROOMS: Nothing memorable, but comfortable and perfectly adequate.

CLEANLINESS: The room was clean and fresh.

SERVICE: Not much interaction with staff, but they seemed friendly at check-in and check-out.

SPA: The pool and sauna were typical for mid-range chains. I recall that the hot tub was not in operation at the time.

I would happily recommend the Four Points to anyone with a moderate budget looking to stay in downtown Kingston.

I stayed at this hotel while I was traveling for work.

I had to stay in Kingston so it was important to stay downtown and be close to everything. I met Heather at the front desk who gave me an overview of the hotel and I would continually come to the front desk for directions and recommendations for dinner.

The hotel fills up with students for conferences and is used quite often. A great hotel to check out if you want to be close to everything

In Kingston for a wedding, and had such a great experience here before, decided to come back. Did not regret the decision. Check in great, room, clean and bed comfortable. Maybe parking fees should be looked at. Rooms are expensive enough without this added on. Yes, the customer service is great, rooms good, but in today's times, people are looking at the almighty "$"

This is my 2nd time staying here and will be my last. There just isn't anything that makes this hotel stand out from others, and for the price a night,it dang well should have!

The rooms are large, but it would be nice if they filled the space with a couch and some more chairs and side tables to make eating/watching tv easier. There are no nice touches to be found, such as flowers or free coffee in the lobby and it's these small personal touches that make a hotel a nice place to stay.

The beds were hard and the feather pillows were not comfortable at all.Poor quality sleep.

Breakfast was $15 per person, which is outrageous, when across the street you can have a good breakfast at Morrison's for $5 per person.

The fact that it is so close to the waterfront,is about all this hotel has going for it.

Sorry folks but we won't be back.

We stayed here for one night in July and loved it! The room was spacious, clean and nice. They brought us a fridge and crib at no extra charge. The pool was beautiful and the location was great. We were able to walk around downtown kingston at night and walk to our boat cruise in the AM. We would definitely recommend this hotel!

We stayed for one night as part of a 2 week trip around Ontario and Quebec. The room on the 6th floor was ready when we checked in at 11.45 am. It was clean and comfortable with 2 queen-sized beds. Wi-fi was free and car parking was charged at around $20. The hotel is very close to the water front and restaurants. we ate at a local restaurant. Heavy rain spoilt our visit but the overall impression of Kingston was favourable.
