“Everything you would expect from a Four Points”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2012

Great location near the waterfront and right downtown. Travelling for business, it is very convenient to stay here. The rooms are clean, the staff are friendly and the food from the restaurant is pretty good. The spa facilities (pool, sauna and workout room) make for a great distraction after a long day's work. Travelling during the winter there was a skating rink one block over. The Starwood staples of great beds, quiet room and functional workspace made for a very good stay.

Thankyou for your wonderful words! Clearly you are a seasoned Starwood traveller and are recieving consistency in comforts and experience in other Starwood properties. That is our goal and it is rewarding that the key attributes of our brand are so easily recognizable and familiar to you as you travel. We look forward to another visit from you! Keep building up those SPG reward points too!

With appreciation,

We usually had good experiences with Sheraton's Hotels (LA, Vegas, Ontario) but this one was way to expensive for the quality of the room/hotel ... probably it was busy due to the conferences and we did not have a reservation ...

Anyway, I would never recommend this place and we will never go back to this hotel again ...

J T ! You must come back to us! Rates vary in all service industry establishments, whether it be based on the time of year; occupancy levels; market conditions; etc; much like airlines too. Clearly you feel you didn't get value for your dollar. We certainly strive to provide a valuable and delightful experience and I can't have you leave us feeling this way and never returning. Email me personally when you are coming back to Kingston. I look forward to it!

We stayed two nights in Kingston to visit. 1.000 Islands. The town is really nice, a lot of bars, restaurants, a lovely university, we rented bikes and found really nice places at the lake. The hotel is basic, small room, basic furniture. Good starting point as it is in the middle of K. Right next to the visitor centre. The check in procedure was a bit rude, pool and sauna where out of order all three days, that was really bad. The breakfast was basic, we would recommend to go to any cafe around the corner. Parking available for 15 dollars /24 hours. For the boat trip 1.000 Islands we took the one from Gananoque (30 min by car ), very impressive. We also visited Fort Henry and Canada upper village, both are "living history" museums which were amazing if one is interested in historic sights, a must.

Thankyou for sharing your opinions. You are right! Location is very important but service and comfort are too. I would be interested in learning what made your arrival less than our usual friendly and welcoming standard. You must come back and experience us again. Chefs have a new menu out and you still have more to discover about our great city.
Please email me personally when you decide!

The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of KIngston close to a number of excellent restaurants. The underground parking garage was easy to find and reasonable value. The welcome at reception was first class which gave a positive first impression of the hotel despite the drab decor.

The room itself was a disappointment and badly in need of an overhaul. Although large enough for a family of four the room felt dark and needed some vibrant art work to lift the drabness. The beds were okay but I didn't sleep well due to a lot of noise in the hotel, including the beat of music from somewhere below. So if you are staying over a weekend it might be best to request a higher room.

Overall I thought the hotel was uninspiring and much preferred The Radisson which I found to be lighter and fresher.

Thankyou for acknowledging the excellence of service that our front desk team presented on your arrival! Certainly our newly renovated rooms and energy efficient lighting will not meet everyone's taste or needs but we are always prepared to act on improving your stay. Be sure to contact me personally on your next trip.

We stopped at this hotel on our way back to New Brunswick. We really love Kingston and this hotel is clean and very convenient to the Kingston waterfront. We truly enjoyed our stay and the staff are wonderful. The only downfall is the underground parking garage. It is very tight and sometimes it takes a lot of levels before you find a spot.

Thankyou for your great comments about our hotel and staff! I agree that configuration of underground parking lots can be ominous at times but we have finished several upgrades and we have fresh new lighting and signage as of this year. We will always find a space your car.

Upgraded to a junior suite and while it had a lot more room, two tvs etc.... it had the most uncomfortable bed that I have ever tried to slep in. Would have moved to the couch but the wife had already moved there! Overall hotel was fine and service at check in was efficent. Elevators very slow and small. Next time I would stay with a standard room.

While we planned to try different dining in Kingston the weather and heavy volume of customers on a Saturday nght in many places prevented it.

Lots of Habs fans at Four Points Kingston! Thankyou for bringing your concern about your bed to our attention. Our beds are a big part of our comfort and the fact that yours was not is important to us. We will certainly check into it. Please be sure to come back. I am convinced that you and your wife can still enjoy a dreamy comfortable sleep in our suites.
Feel free to contact me personally!

I spent four nights at the Sheraton Four Points in Kingston in April 2012. The hotel is a nice hotel in a great area in the downtown area. There are countless restaurants nearby and the hotel staff will help you choose a great one. We went to a wonderful Italian restaurant called CASA.

The rooms are basic and the same as any Sheraton Four Points. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. The elevators are very slow but not a real problem.

The staff are amazing. They are all friendly and helpful. The front desk staff greeted us in a warm and friendly way and even the cleaning staff would say hello and greet you with a smile.

This is a lovely location close to the waterfront. All the rooms have good views but the ones facing the water are the nicest.

I would certainly stay here again. The location is wonderful, the staff is great and the rooms are clean.
