“weekend for two with the dogs”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2012

since we are smokers and have dogs, it was convenient that this hotel had both requirement for a low price. They give us a room at the end of the hall next to side entry, very convenient for the dogs but if you're dog bark's for nothing, he will keep you up all night because people use the side door allot. For us it was ok since our dogs are well behave. The room was ok, I had to clean the roof of the shower because it was dirty, probably the people at the room cleaning are to small to do it! Anyway lot's of restaurants very close, near downtown and good price, we didn't try the free breakfast because there was 3 buses of young athletes wile we were staying there. Room could need refurbish but is ok when traveling with dogs. In a weekend getaway, we went there not knowing what to expect after diner, wow, not expensive, the host of the show was funny and the comedians where better than some big time comedians that you pay a very expensive ticket to just smile, without laughter. we had a very good time there and will go again next time in Kingston.

We always enjoy the Comfort Inn. Nothing fancy but generally nice rooms with good beds. Also complimentary breakfast. In this case, we arrived 15 minutes prior to the cut off, so some of the supplies were all gone. We missed the eggs and bacon, so had to be satisfied with toast and cereal. Not sure why the lady did not replenish the hot foods, since there were also others who came around the same time. Hotel was good but breakfast was lacking.

Room Tip: If you're travelling, a great stop over. But a short drive to the downtown activities.

Overall this would have been a nice place to stay.. comfy Bed, Cable TV... HOWEVER!! they do not clarify weather or not your room is Smoking or Non Smoking until you arrive..

Nothing spoils a romantic weekend getaway like stale stench of smoke in your room

If you would prefer to stay in a non smoking room then you will need to make sure you ask for it when booking or else they will put you in a vial smoking room... some online booking websites won't give you the option.. so you Must ask for it..

for us it was to late and all non smoking rooms were booked out... $155 wasted in a smelly room, could have spent $70 in another motel down the road and not lived in fear of having an asthma attack all night long

apart from that, rooms were nice and there is many food options nearby

Room Tip: If your a smoker.. live it up!!!

For the most part I have no complaints about this hotel. The room was clean and it was quiet when we arrived at 10pm. This was just a stop over on our way elsewhere. That being said I do have a complaint. There was a large bottle of water on the desk - apparently it will set you back 2.99. As I was travelling with 2 children aged 2, and 4 months and it was 10 pm I didnt turn on the lights and I didnt read the paper around the neck of the bottle - which supposedly stated that I would be charged 3.00 - that part is my fault.
However I didnt complain about the fact that in the morning when I turned on the TV it was auto tuned to a porn channel (which ISNT even listed on the channel guide?) Nice cartoon preview for my toddler. We were in a hurry to be on our way so I did leave a note for the cleaning staff notifying them of this issue.
Overall this place did the trick BUT go to the Tim hortons across the road if you are thirsty.

While my house was being painted and i needed a quiet hotel close to home and this one was a great fit! Clean with friendly, helpful staff, good breakfast in the morning and the price was very reasonable. I would definitly recommend this hotel!

During my business trip to Kingston I had to stay an over night at the city.
I picked up the comfort inn because of the location and the price.
The rooms are clean, and all the facilities are in good conditions.
Many restaurants located in a walking distance from the hotel.
Continental breakfast is included the room price.
If you wish to do a late check out you can do it for addition 25 CAD
The staff was friendly and the service level is good.
Bottom line you are getting above and behind for your money

This hotel is your typical Comfort Inn. Nothing exceptional. The bed was comfortable and the room and hotel was clean. The plus for this hotel is that there is a good choice of restaurants within walking distance--the negative is it is not very soundproof--you hear every noise from in the hall. The breakfast was typical hotel breakfast---toast, cereal etc. Overall I would stay here again as it serves the purpose. If you are looking for luxury this is not the place but if you are looking for a decent hotel without going overboard on price--this could serve your needs.
