“Home away from home!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

We were pleasantly surprised with our stay at the Green Acres Inn!
The inn is very comfortable and clean, staff were very friendly. We felt
like we were staying in a small little cottage in the middle of Kingston. We stayed in the spa suite which was very well appointed.
Overall a good experience, it is definitely has more of a motel feel rather than an inn.
If travelling in the summer ask that they put the AC on prior to your arrival.
Enjoy!

Room Tip: Go with the spa suite

Nice place, sheets could be upgraded to match quality of room. Would make a huge difference. iPod went missing first day. Sure hoping they find it vs someone deciding they needed it. We'll see. Overall good - 15 drive from downtown .

Hello;

Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback on your stay. I am delighted that you felt it was overall a good experience. Regarding our king sheets I appreciate your suggestion and we are in the process of replacing our inventory with 400 thread count ones to be in keeping with the queen sheet inventory that are 310 thread count white on white damask.

Please know that we are trying to locate your iPod and so I have extra staff on today and we are in the process of tearing the SPA Suite apart to see if we can find it. If you would please give us a quick call (800 267 7889 toll free) or email if you discover it.

Again thank you for your comments and for choosing to stay with us.

Sincerely,
Heather Ford

I stayed at the Green Acres Inn last night while on a trip to Kingston. I was stunned to realize that it was more of a motel/motor lodge when I arrived. When you look at their website, it appears that the hotel is a self contained, multilevel building. That building is the reception area. The actual hotel is a series of 1 story rooms a the other side of the parking lot. The hotel is also directly off a very busy street, not tucked away on a quiet, treelined street.
That said, the room was actually very nice except for the very mushy bed. The bathroom was lovely and the front desk staff was very helpful.

Room Tip: Get a room in the very back away from the road

We recently visited Kingston for a few days and had made reservations based on reviews on TA and were very satisfied with our experience. The location is excellent as you are a few minutes from the waterfront and close to the 401 for travelling to other spots in the area. The motel itself offers a variety of rooms . . . we reserved a garden suite with a view of the gardens and pool (189$ + tax) and stayed 3 nights. The room is very nice with a comfy bed and has a double shower as well as a double spa bath . . . we enjoyed that feature immensely. It also features a small kitchenette with sink and dishes, as well as a small fridge. Everything is well thought out. Friendly unobtrusive staff compliment the package. We found this location to be very quiet and restful. The pool is very nice and clean as are the grounds. Overall we prefer it to big hotels as you can park right in front of your suite and avoid the hustle and bustle of larger venues. We recommend the Green Acres Inn to anyone looking for a nice cosy stay away from home. Thank you for making our stay a memorable one.

Welcoming staff and comfortable room. I wasn't expecting to stay the night in Kingston but after reconsidering and checking a few places along Princess, this was by far the best place to park myself over night. Comfy room. Clean with all the amenities that one could expect, including bathrobes. Wish I had more time to dip into the lovely outdoor pool.

This motel is a 5 minute drive from downtown Kingston. The standard motel style rooms are not large but clean, and ok for a night stopover. They also have larger family-size rooms available. The unexpected bonus is the swimming pool and large garden area, a peaceful oasis just off a busy road. Friendly and helpful staff.

My only regret was that we arrived at 7.00pm and had to leave at 10.00am the next morning, so didn't have enough time to spend in the grounds which are beautiful. It was very peaceful (except for a family who decided to pack their car directly outside our window - rather rude, I thought). The room was lovely, and the kitchenette was great. Very friendly receptionists. Definitely recommended.
