The stone grill concept is fantastic.. you order the meat and extras (scallops, shrimp..) and they arrive basically uncooked on a searingly hot slab of stone. Add a sauce and sides and you are ready to go. Flip the meat and it starts cooking, slice pieces off and cook it to your taste. Whats great about this is that at a regular steak restaurant you order rare or even medium rare and the meat is cold by the time you are half way through. Whereas at crazy horse you can still be eating hot/warm medium rare steak exactly as you like it at the end of your meal. Steak quality was very good and the overall dining experience was great. I went with my teen and tween kids and its great for them as they get to control the meal. Coupled with a good draft beer and good deserts it makes for a special treat. Service was very friendly... and I would class it as a family friendly location even though the mostly female servers are sporting the daisy duke look so dont be put off by that. Its a bit pricey but well worth it both for the food and overall occasion. Yes you can have them cook your steak, but why would you?
