We had a delicious meal here last night with another couple. This was our first visit, and would definitely return. Very nice atmosphere with multiple rooms, so that although it is a relatively large restaurant, it still feels intimate and cozy. We had a very small, two-table room, that was VERY intimate. Service from Sylvia was impeccable. We had a Caesar salad ( my wife rated it the best she has ever had) and a Caprese salad, also very tasty, though I would prefer the tomatoes sliced rather than chunked - a trivial point though. The other three people had pizzas which they all loved, and I choose the spaghetti with meatballs, and had it half-and-half meatballs and sausage. Sylvia also had no problem with adding meat sauce to my meal. Delicious! Most meal choices offer a lunch size and a dinner size option, for about $2-3 less for the lunch size. I forgot that when I ordered and so I got the dinner size by default. It was HUGE! Almost literally double what I needed for dinner. So now I have a yummy lunch to look forward to today!
The only sour note was when we left the restaurant and returned to our cars - there is parking beside the restaurant and directly across the street. The lot across the street must be a city lot or something, although if there was signage I certainly didn't see it. Anyway, we had a $74 parking ticket on our windshield! Ouch! While I certainly don't blame the restaurant for this, it might be a good idea for them to point out the restrictions on parking to patrons as they come in, as it kind of spoiled my evening.
Otherwise an excellent spot in a rather dismal city.
