“Spend some time discovering ...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2013

Hamilton's escarpment offers a wide variety of locations where the run-off from Lake Erie makes its way to the lower Lake Ontario. Niagara Falls is the big rill but the many creeks in the Hamilton area are undiscovered treasures, so get out there and discover them!!

“The city of Waterfalls- Challenges for weekends”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013

My husband born and raised in Hamilton is proud of the City of Waterfalls. We have a list of the falls and try to search out many throughout the year. Some are not so accessible or not visible unless a big melt or rain. So interesting and lovely to see.

“Hidden gems”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2013

I've been to most of the Hamilton falls. The first was on Christmas Eve 2001 - Websters Falls. Spectacular. Powerful. Go after a rainfall for maximum effect. Tews Falls is my next favourite. They are all fascinating. Some easier to get to and view then others, but all worth the visit.

“About 100 waterfalls”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013

This is a big industrial city but with a very large rural area where you can find numerous waterfalls. My favorites are Webster's Falls (a long hike down via a steel staircase) and Albion Falls (a short but rugged hike down) and Tiffany Falls (very nice in winter ... sometimes you see ice climbers). It's easy to find the waterfalls; simply Google Waterfalls, Hamilton, Ontario, Best 16 .... any of the 16 are very nice and directions are provided on the Web sites.
