Stayed at this hotel for one night on a business trip. One night was enough. First take some advice - book this hotel on Priceline where you will get a fair price. Booking this room on the Comfort Inn web site will leave you feeling ripped off, so avoid it. My room on Priceline including all taxes and services fees was $46USD or about $55CAD. The cheapest price on the Comfort Inn web site for the same night was $108CAD!! This hotel is definitely not worth it. I was greeted very nicely by the young lady at the front desk which is located in an oddly cramped area that is a multi purpose reception area, dining facility, sundry shop & walk in traffic area all in one. I received my room quickly. The room was a very standard motel style room with one king bed. The bathroom was standard but certainly had enough room. The bed was reasonably comfortable although the pillows were pretty flimsy. My room had a sofa and a small basic work table with lamp. On the positive side, the room was completely wireless at no charge. It also had an iron and an ironing board right in the room. The room was clean for the most part however there was a beverage stain on the night table that had not been cleaned up from the previous guest(s). Another plus however, is the hotel's proximity to the major highway - 401. The hotel is also a short walk or 1 minute drive to a Shopper's Drug Mart and local grocery store. I certainly wouldn't want to be stuck here more than a night or two tops. Unless you get this hotel at a really low cost, however, I think you'll be quite disappointed. Try Priceline and I bid for a 2 star hotel in Cambridge @ $35 and got it immediately plus tax for $46 total USD. I may have gotten it cheaper had I bid a little lower, but never expected to do this well. Good luck to you.

“OK hotel”

We stayed one night of a two week touring holiday.
This is an older-syle two-storey property - fortunately we had a ground floor room. The first "no-smoking room" we were given had a strong smell of cigarettes & a notice saying there would be a charge of $75 for anyone smoking - we went to reception who told us it used to be a smoking room and they couldn't get rid of the smell - there was no problem in giving us a different room (so why give us that one first - a try on?). Anyway the new room was OK. It would be a good idea if ground-floor rooms with patio windows had nets as an alternative to total darkness or full view of all passersby! A continental breakfast was included.
Overall no particular good or bad points.

“Terrific Comfort Inn”

We just spent two nights at the Comfort Inn, Cambridge and were greeted warmly by the front desk staff. In fact the front desk staff were very helpful with directions throughout our stay. The room was clean and comfortable. It is a little small but we spent very little time in the room. The continental breakfast was more than adequate. It had toast, bagels, waffles, boiled eggs, fresh fruit, cereal, juice, milk tea and coffee. The breakfast area is small with only three tables but most people seem to take their breakfast back to the room.
The grounds were clean and tidy. We were staying on Choice Points and received excellent service. We would stay again.

This hotel is just what I'd expect from a cookie cutter Journey's End style Comfort Inn. It's plain, clean, near the highway, and very comfortable.

The location is great. It's right beside the 401, and it's maybe a 3 minute drive to actually get to the hotel. It's right beside a Zehr's (supermarket) and a great place to stay the night. It's right off Hespeler Rd. which is actually the road to Guelph. If you're looking for somewhere to stay near Guelph on Priceline, this is it. I paid between $60 and $85 Canadian per night after taxes after successful bids on priceline. It's listed as a 2-star hotel, and definetly lives up to it. The regular price for this hotel starts at $110 before taxes which is absolutely ridiculous. Choice Hotels seems to think that they can charge absolutely anything for rooms.

The rooms are very clean, as I have mentioned, and considerably large. The ones on ground floor are definetly prime. Ask for one, because there is no elevator, and the ground floors have individual sliding doors that open onto the parking lot for easy access.

The wifi internet is blindingly fast and constant (200KB/s) although it times out after about a half hour and you have to re-login. This is a bummer for anyone that wants to download something overnight.

The washroom is, again, very clean. Nothing really of note.

The room has a lack of desk space for eating / putting things / etc.

The hotel is very well insulated - we couldn't hear the highway at all from our room.

Kudos to the staff who are very helpful with anything.

The continental breakfast comprises of Muffins, toast, cereal, bananas, bagels, apples, fruit juices, and coffee. The lobby offers free copies of the National Post, useful only for lining the bottom of birdcages.

This is a great basic hotel for travelers that only need a place to sleep, a good breakfast, and free internet. I can't stress enough how clean this place is.
Anything more that $100 is highway robbery, so it's suggested to use Priceline[-] and Biddingfortravel[-] and you could end up paying $60, like me. Remember people, bid low - this hotel is 2 stars. A $38 bid on Priceline is about $60 Canadian.

Instructions for Canadians: We aren't officially catered to on Priceline, but as long as you put your state as CA and your ZIP code as 99999, you'll be fine.
