“Nice surprise”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2013

Wonderful staff, great little jewel of a coffee house downtown. Nice surprise from the more traditional "get 'em in and get 'em out" restaurants in the area

“Nice and friendly”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013

We snacked here a couple of times and the coffee and food are home cooked and rather tasty.

Our disappointment however was when we ordered an evening snack to be advised about 10 minutes after we sat down, that they were closing shortly!

“Great food and fun”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

I had the pleasure of re-visiting the Lakeshore Coffee House on the Easter weekend. A hub of activity as people responded to the bright sunny day, situation in the heart of Burlington across from the Waterfront Hotel.

Welcome smiles greet you like the sun shining on the lake as you enter the doorway of the Lakeshore Coffee House. Wafts of brewing coffee fill the air tickling the nose as you enter. Sounds of the hard working cappuccino machine capture you in wrapped excitement in anticipation of something especially made for you!

Brightly coloured black board make your choices inviting, salad, pastries organic coffees My choice of the day was a Panini sandwich on wholegrain, with black forest ham, cheddar cheese and tomato grilled to perfection The Reunion (green dragon) coffee with vanilla flavoring finished off the meal with delight. The good test of excellence in coffee is what it tastes like when it cools down, it was simply amazing.

Sales staff, Adrianna shared with me that they have ice-coffee in the summer!
If you are still hungry there are tantalizing, brownies, biscotti’s, pecan tarts and scones temp you. Yes they have Chapman’s ice-cream too.. The only difficult thing is to make up your mind!! The mouth watering lime sorbet captured my attention for a second until I realized I had no room….. this would wait for my return trip.

The ambiance is wonderful, fun and inviting, spotlessly clean. The ascending stair rail beacons you to a cove with cozy chairs, complete with a fireplace. Bright walls, artwork enable stimulate your imagination into the muse of writing. Perfect for the writer or simply gather with friends!

Do try the "London Fog" Earl Grey tea with foaming milk....I wish I had thought of that!

There is no bar license, but they do have free wi-fi.

Average price per sandwich is under $10.00.

Thank you to Chris and Sue Hofman, Adrienna and staff for a memorable visit.

“Fresh food, good coffee, nice people.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2013

Had a lovely mug of Green Dragon Indonesian coffee today, and smoked salmon on a bagel. My buddy had a freshly made Greek salad. Pleasantly greeted by Lakeshore's staff, as well as some locals who were enjoying a warm spot, on a cold February day. For those tha drive parking is around the corner off Elizabeth street.
