“Great Value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2006

Our family of four stayed at this hotel for one night en route between Montreal and Toronto. It is so nice when a hotel meets all of your expectations. The hotel is fairly new and nicely renovated. The rooms were spacious and clean. Our room had two queen sized beds and a pull out couch which meant everyone had room to sleep. They indicate that they have free wireless internet in each room. We used the indoor pool which is quite large and heated. They also have a jacuzzi and small exercise room. The complimentary breakfast was good and had your standard cereals, juices, muffins, yogurts, fruits and even do-it-yourself belgium waffles (no bacon or egss though). They have a lounge area with a TV as well as a computer area with free internet. At night they have free chocolate chip cookies at the front desk which was a nice touch. The hotel is well situated as it is a few seconds from the 401 highway and right across the street from the Quinte Mall and it's restaurants and stores where we had dinner and shopped. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2006

Stayed here for 2 nights this October 2006 with my wife & 2 children and came away extremely impressed with this property.
Rooms—The room was extremely clean and the bed was very comfortable—one of the nicest beds I have ever slept in (no backache the next morning!)
Amenities—Had a very nice indoor pool (shallow end for the little ones) as well as a fitness centre with 4-5 machines. Both were very clean and well maintained.
Breakfast—The continental breakfast (if you can call it just that) had an excellent selection of breads//Bagels//Muffins//Danish//Yogurt//Oatmeal//Fresh Fruit//Waffle Maker and cereals. Also coffee, tea & a selection of Juices. Everything was very fresh and plentiful. Highly recommended!
Service—The service was also very much appreciated. Friendly staff (and staff that actually care!)
Location—Although not in Downtown Belleville, the location JUST off HWY 401 makes it convenient if you require a good night sleep on your way to somewhere else or want to avoid the busier hotels right downtown.
Thanks Again!!!

We stayed for one night at the Fairfield Inn in July 2006. Our room was actually a suite, with a sofa and two televisons. It was beautifully decorated. Breakfast was included, and was quite good. The only negative was that the two-story motel does not have an elevator. Also, the motel is near a shopping center with a number of dining choices. Overall, we were pleasantly surprised.

We just got back from the Fairfield Inn and Suites and we really enjoyed this hotel. Rooms are nicely decorated, the continental breakfast was great and plenty of choice was available to choose from. We actually stayed in one of the suites and we have no bad comments at all. The staff was always professionnal. For the price, (It seem's that it is in the average anyway!) you get a really nice hotel, centrally located across the Quinte Mall and all the restaurants, etc. For sure we will be back...

We recently went to Belleville Ontario and had planned to stay at the Best Western there. When we arrived we checked out the hotel and found it to have a distinct odour of a mixture of smoke and mould. We decided to check out the hotel down the street, a Fairfield Marriott that had just opened and not even in a travel book yet (it was another chain before) and it had been totally renovated. Thinking that it would be very expensive as it was a Marriott we decide to check it out anyway. What a major surprise.. It was less expensive than the Best Western and it was absolutely gorgeous. It had a pool, jacuzzi and an incredible exercise room. The lobby was huge and the breakfast buffet was awesome. The pool was the cleanest pool I had ever seen in a hotel. The room we chose was the room with a jacuzzi tub in it, that was the same price as a standard room at the Best Western. Also the room was massive as well. What a perfect location as well, across from a mall and many restaurants too. We would definitely stay there again.

Stayed in the Quality Inn near the 401 in Belleville on a Saturday night. Lovely room, beautiful armoir that held the TV, nice decor, wonderful Jergens products in the bathroom. The halls were a bit musty smelling. The balcony had been blocked off but that was okay since the only view was of the 401 Highway. The pool and jacuzzi were below average, although the murals on the walls probably were quite nice at one time. Couldn't find the sauna. The big surprise was: when we started flicking through the TV channels, there was not one, but THREE FREE channels of "adult movies" on the TV. A bit shocking, to say the least! Maybe that explains the plethora of business men staying at that hotel.
