“Pleasant surprise - wish we had gone sooner!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2013

Having gone to many other restaurants in the Barrie area, we decided to try something different for a change, and we ventured on Groovy Tuesdays.
We arrived for an early weeknight dinner, and we were the only patrons. The specials were very tempting, along with the regular menu, however my friend and I decided to share a few appetizers to get a sense of the food. We ordered to flatbread, calamari, as well as the crab and risotto cakes. All were delicious!!! Especially with the wine selection which we enjoyed.
The atmosphere was small but quaint, and very comfortable- very inviting, and a great place to enjoy a meal with friends or a partner. We had a lovely table by the window and lovely decor right down to the candle and delicate fresh tulip at our table instead of the fake plastic dusty things you see in some establishments.
Our server was friendly and courteous, and even threw in an extra special dessert for us, which was an absolutley perfect ending to a perfect meal!
WE WILL BE BACK!

“Simply perfect.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2013

Wonderful atmosphere, excellent service, divine food. Whether you eat out most nights or once a year, this is sure to become one of your favourite spots in Barrie! Thank you for making our anniversary so special this week. We'll be back - again and again!
PS. House-made peanut butter ice cream & brownies and the white chocolate cheesecake with Creme Anglaise - BEST.

“Pleasant Surprize!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2013

After debating were to eat on Friday night, my wife's friend told us about a small (25-30) seat gem.
This Bistro is located just across the steet from the old city hall on Colliar St. It is a nice place for a impressing first date or an romantic diner for two. The menu is always changing , so one never knows for sure what will be on the menu. This is not a problem as it is rather a fine dinning resturante that cooks to order.
It's not a place for a noisey family gathering, so you can have a conversation with your dinning partner. There is a nice wine list if needed, or you can order drinks from their bar. The prices are a reflection of the service you get as well as the quality of the food. Remember you get what you pay for ! Expect to drop $ 100 plus if you have a app before the main course. More if your a wine conisurior.
Very friendly staff, good food, quiet dinning. What else is there to say?

“Nice place for lunch”

When they dropped the breakfast service more than a few people needed to find another favorite place. Quality food and a friendly staff. Convenient to City Hall.
