“Favorite sushi spot”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2014

This is the best all you can eat sushi I have found so far. I have been to this location and the one on Queen E. and both always impress. Weekday lunch is the best value as the price almost doubles for dinner on weekends.

“Our favourite sushi spot in Barrie”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2014

This is my family's favourite sushi spot in Barrie. Quite often the service is not very attentive but the overall quality of the food makes up for it. We prefer to go either earlier or later because at peak dinner time (5-7:30pm-ish) it is always really busy and the food takes forever to come out.

Their selection at dinner is outstanding and the special rolls and hand-rolls are absolutely amazing. We will continue to go back to Aji Sai because of the outstanding quality of their food.

“Consistently impressed!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2014

This sushi place, best enjoyed all-you-can-eat, naturally, is around the corner from both work and my parent's house, and it is my go-to when I have time to sit down and eat. I have been coming here for years, and through a few renovations and ordering-system changes, I have always left with a full belly and satisfied with the service.

Hint: if you are going for lunch, GO EARLY. If you are there by like 11:30am and place a decent size order, you will get everything in good time. Go at 1:00pm, and you will likely wait at least 15 minutes for your food and there will be a line up out the door.

Service has always been great. Keep in mind it is a family run restaurant and they cut corners by not having a lot of servers. I have been pleasant with them, and I have never experienced an issue. Same with placing orders. Especially now with the paper system (write down what dishes you want) they are pretty accurate with what they bring to the table.

Food is fresh, sashimi prepared well, hot foods as well. They are good with small substitutions, add spicy mayo here, throw in some extra avocado there.

I would list my favorites, but honestly, I couldn't just pick one. All in all, I have enjoyed every meal here, and I can't wait until the next time I go!

“Excellent Japanese sushi and kitchen ordered food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2014

This has to be among the best Japanese Buffet Restaurant in Ontario. The fish - salmon, butterfish, snapper sushi are fresh, and the rice used for the sushi is top quality, and not too much as in other restaurants. The kitchen food, specially ordered are well prepared, especially the beef ribs, squid and unagi served with rice. Topping it all is the reasonable price for lunch, and with the added senior discount makes an excellent value for money for a senior like me.

“Alway delicious”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2014

This is our go to place when great "all you can eat" Japanese is to be wanted. The freshness and deliciousness of the food far surpasses the service (mildly delayed and abrupt) but the food arrives fast with the odd smile so all in all ok. The restaurant was overhauled and the decor updated to a contemporary/industrial theme, push comes to shove the food never changed.. alway a great stop and crave-able treat.
