Since all other reviews are in Spanish, I'll add mine in English.
This establishment is clearly geared to a regional public, even though I think it has many features that would make it attractive to international travellers with an adventurous spirit. It sits on a privileged location, with unbelievable views, complete calm, and great hiking opportunities right out the front door. You will be served simple yet tasty meals, for which most of the ingredients are locally harvested. The hosts, Ramón and Judit, are very attentive to guests needs, and are also a treasure trove of local information. You are very close to the wonderful ridge top town of Siurana and to the heart of the Priorat and its fantastic wineries. This is still an undiscovered region of Spain as far as tourism goes. You will hear mostly Catalan spoken, Spanish if you insist, and little English. The region does not even appear in the Lonely Planet guide (despite being only one of the two Qualified Denominations of Origin in Spain - the other is Rioja). If you want a taste of rural Catalan living before the throngs find it, hurry!
Something important to keep in mind is that this is a rural lodging, several kilometres away from the nearest town, and completely off-grid. There are compromises that come with that territory. Access is on VERY ROUGH gravel roads. While a 4WD is not necessary if the weather is dry, you may want to leave the Porsche at home and bring the Subaru instead (we made it just fine in a rented Peugeot 308). I would not try driving in or out in the dark either, which kind of forces you to take the bed, breakfast and dinner deal. The hosts ask that you limit use of electricity (supplied by solar panels and batteries), and try to take your showers in the morning, when a recirculation pump provides hot water (it is possible to take showers at other times if you notify the hosts in advance). The rooms are somewhat stark (but most have terrific views), and the bathrooms only have showers (no bathtubs). You shouldn't come here looking for luxury. However, if you want rest and relaxation and don't mind putting a few chips in your car, Mas del Salín is just the ticket.
