We ate here at the suggestion of our B&B hostess. It's probably a 10-15 minutes drive from the town proper and the location knocks your socks off. The lodge grounds are enormous and the resort is dotted with rustic cabins and bunkhouse-style units which contain guest rooms. The restaurant is in the main lodge building. We arrived fairly early and were seated at a table in front of a huge window with a spectacular view of brilliant green lawns and the dark blue waters of the Northumberland Strait. My memories of the lovely smoked seafood chowder and planked salmon will stay with me a long time--beautifully prepared and served. It was a delightful meal in gorgeous surroundings.
