Normally when I visit the east coast I stick to seafood since it's fresh and Canadian. On this particular evening however, we were meeting a family member in the area who preferred something a little more "tame".
Just a brief 3 minute walk from our hotel, sits this little gem. If you didn't know it was there, you would walk right by it.
We came on a Friday evening in early November and didn't have a reservation. This wasn't an issue and we were seated at a lovely table near to the back windows.
We ordered the calamari to start which was delicious. Perfectly done, and not too heavy on the breading.
For the mains, my cousin had the mushroom pizza which came complete with a sprinkling of truffle oil which permeated the air and made me rethink my own order or gnocchi. Happily, I was not at all disappointed. The gnocchi was perfect. Not over nor under cooked, a light tomato sauce with a ricotta cheese which made the dish lighter than most gnocchi dishes I have tried.
I ordered the tiramisu for dessert, which I immediately regretted when I saw the crepes - get the crepes - you won't regret it.
The only issue with this fabulous little restaurant is that you want to try it all, and I live too far away!
Fabulous staff, food and atmosphere.
A lovely evening, with great food! LOVE IT!!!
