“Too expensive for what it is...a pizza place!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2010

Had it recommended so I tried it. It's just pizza people! Just very weird combinations of ingredients but basically, it's just pizza! Just very very expensive pizza!
The servers are snooty, which always annoys me. I mean really, are they so insecure that they have to make their customers feel inferior to boost their own egos? Service in a restaurant should always make the customer feel like an honoured guest. Not like the server or restaurantt owner is doing the customer a favour by allowing them in!
Would rather go to pizza corner and save my money for some other more welcoming and deserving restaurant

“good spot for evening fare”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2010

very warm and cozy, not large by any means but exceptionally well staffed with 4-5 servers running in a small room. All surrounding restaurants were almost empty but this one was full. Great specialty in pizza with good wine list. Local bottled beer was good but I missed not having a local draught selection. I doubt anyone could get out for less than $25 pp with the menu we had. Great spot, deserves the rating. We enjoyed a Propeller Pilsner, house white wine and a basil/pesto pizza with goat cheese. Overall, very enjoyable.

“Simply fun to be there! Perfect pizza, casual sophistication..”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2010

Serendipitously, we discovered Morris East when we least expected to run into a great place to eat before heading over to Point Pleasant Park to see Shakespeare By The Sea (rave for SBTS!). The server made our meal fun and easy, gracious as can be. We sat in the back, by the outward curve of the pizza oven (although you'd never know, not a peep of heat), giving us a great view of the art hanging on the walls, the sophisticated bar, and diners enjoying the windows and view. Pizzas were amazingly good--thin crust, inventive toppings, e.g. goat cheese just melting in the heat of the pizza. We enjoyed local beer and red wine and left for the play in plenty of time without feeling rushed. You will have a great time eating here.

“Great place to meet and eat”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2010

A gem on Morris, beautiful decor, creative menu and good knowledgeable service. They also make a very good martini as well as mohitos. Pizzas were thin crust, very tasty with many options on toppings so you can be boring or very eclectic. We will go back for sure.

“Excellent food and service”

Best food in Halifax so far. The pizzas, appetizers and desserts are to die for - creative, elegant and delicious. Servers are warm and enthusiastic, adding their own unique personalities to the dining experience.
