I just had supper here for the first time on Valentine's Day. The place was very busy but despite that the service was excellent - prompt, attentive and friendly. The food was fantastic. We started with calamari - fresh and delicious. I had the "Scaloppine di Vitello all’ Astice" which was veal scaloppine sautéed with fresh lobster and finished with a garlic, tomato, brandy and cream sauce. Price $32.95. My friend ordered the "Arista di Maiale alle Albicocche" which was a double cut prime rib of pork finished with a reduction of fresh peaches, sherry, ginger and honey. Price $27.95. I had a taste and it was delicious although I preferred my veal scaloppine. We finished dinner by sharing a "Torta di Zucca e Formaggi" (pumpkin mascarpone cheesecake with ginger cookie crust, served with dolce di leche and garnished with pumpkin seed brittle). It was amazing and perfect for two people to share. It was an expensive meal but the quality of the food, the service and the ambiance made it all worthwhile. Definitely the place to go in Halifax for a very special night out of fine dining.
