“Beautiful area to visit while in Halifax”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2013

All my years visiting or living in Halifax and I had never visited this area. It was absolutely beautiful and so relaxing. There are trails, the Memorial (Dingle) Tower, and picnic areas. If you've never visited before be sure to add it to your "to do" list, especially if you are from the area and are planning a "staycation"! I was visiting in November when the weather was lovely. I can only imagine how nice it would be in the summer months!

“A nice outing for the family”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2013

The Dingle has improved from what I remember as a child. They have done a lot of work on the walkways with some of them completely paved. There is a small beach that is staffed by lifeguards which is great and they have even installed some play equipment for the kids. The Tower is the big draw and the lovely lions that guard it. I had heard that periodically that had closed the tower to visits but on the day we visited it was open and you were able to climb up and enjoy the views. It is a nice quiet park with very few people visiting it at any one time. It is extremely well maintained and clean with lovely grassy areas. A hidden gem that is a great outing for the family.
