My friend took me to this place, all excited about a new place to eat. When I walked in, I was greeted with an amazing smell of summer cottage BBQ. It smelled delicious. We looked at the menu and then approached the counter with our selection. The girl behind the counter was cold and didn't seem like she wanted to be there. I had a few questions and to their credit, one of the cooks came out and answered then. I was impressed but I thought the girl at the counter should have been more helpful.
I found the prices a little high but I was told the side dished are quite generous to make up for it. The surroundings were "backyard picnic" and it suited the menu.
I had the beef ribs and they arrived with a large side dish of potato salad, fries and cornbread. The quality of rib was below par and they were cooked to death to try and cover it up. Yes, there were lots of fries and salad, but that's not what I paid for. The main course was not worth the money. My friend had a pulled pork sandwich and he was very happy with it.
In general, I won't make plans on another trip but I won't say no if others are wanting to go.
More hype than substance
