“"Jaw Dropping Beautiful "”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2013

This is an amazing Trail, Every time I have done this one I have seen Moose !!!! Be sure to bring Plenty of Water, Sun Screen and Bug Spray. a fairly easy trail to complete, but it is LONG..... about 2 to 3 hours, I would recommend going with a Partner, No Cell service and you are in a very Remote area of the Highlands, your chances of encountering a wild animal is most likely, always air on the side of Caution, when in area's like this........ If Help was needed, it may take a considerable amount of time to Reach....... Also I would Advise "Staying on the Trail" after the steps, it is Extremely Steep.

“very long but great views at the end”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2013

We chose to do only half the skyline trail, the half that had a well groomed path. It was very long walk and you only got a view at the very end (half way on the total trail). There were few benches to rest which bothered me since I have troubles walking long distances. Howver, on teh up side, the trail in lovely and worth it.

“Long but beautiful!”

A long hike but worth the view once you get to the end. Plan for rests and bring water. Fo not be scared by the time it takes. Just pace yourself.

“Easy hike with great views!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2013

Although it is on the long side, the Skyline Trail was a very easy hike that could be done by most people. If you can walk on level ground for a couple of hours you can do this hike. Views were spectacular and although we did not see any wildlife, we did see moose tracks and scat so they were around!

TIP: go early. When we started just before 9 am there were less than 5 cars in the parking lot. When we finished at around 11:30 there were over 40 cars!!

“Breathtaking”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2013

What a treat awaits you when you get to the end of the trail! This is an easy hike that my husband was able to trek just a few weeks after knee surgery. Hikers can choose a fairly level, even trail out and back, or hike the loop, which is only slightly more rugged and a bit longer. The more developed trail has a smooth surface that would actually be accessible by wheelchair (although the lookout area requires navigating a few steps). We hiked the loop at a slow pace in about 3 hours.
