We were there at a perfect time in Aug. Everything in full glory! Nice Acadian cottage with the family names of those who lived in Annapolis Royal before the expulsion.

“Absolutely Breathtaking”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2014

There isn't anything about this place that is not to like. The weather was absolutely fantastic the day we walked through these amazing gardens. The staff were helpful and the gardens were one of the best I've ever had the privilege of walking through. Definitely worth the time to "stop and smell the roses".

“Interesting but”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2014

Not well labelled or identified. Still some damage from Hurricane Arthur. This is a 10 acre site so there's a lot to see, but sometimes you're not sure exactly WHAT you're seeing!

The Gardens are wonderful to stroll through. There is lots to see and photograph. Check out the website before you go. There are sometimes special events in the Gardens.

“For garden and history lovers.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2014

We truly enjoyed the beautiful gardens and the historical cabin which told us something of how the early settlers lived. I saw flowers that I had only seen in catalogs. We were very impressed with the size of the hostas. I also saw some combinations in plantings that I intend to duplicate next season. One lady in particular who worked there was very helpful in helping us to identify plants we were not familiar with and with some of the history of the area. It was a very pleasant and peaceful experience.
