Had lunch here on a Saturday. Wasn't crowded, though I understand that it can get jammed at certain times, including most dinner times. Waiting in line at -20C; not for this puppy!
We had the local, fresh-caught pickerel (walleye to those of us from the States). I was expecting fish & chips, but the fish came griddled with some sauce, which is a much better thing to do with walleye (and certainly with Arctic char, which was another option). Came with good chips, decent salad, and delicious homemade bread. Really nice meal. But with a couple of root beers, came to over $70 for lunch. Turns out the rolls, salad, and chips all are priced separately.
Whole inside of the place is covered with writing and bumper stickers. Some of them were pretty funny. Need to go with a laid-back frame of mind..
Worth going here just for the "no sniveling" sign on the outside of this rather old log structure.
