The place comes off as a higher end place but falls short. Would almost call it an "imposter". Very expensive but many hotels in the area are. You definately don't get what you pay for. In recent years, they have renovated but it would almost appear as if they had run out of money. Nice enough furnishings, new carpet, and decor but an old tube-style television and original floor tiles in the bathrooms. Was surprised and disappointed that there weren't any mini-fridges or microwaves in the rooms. What if I were a diabetic needing to refrigerate my insulin or a mother needing to refrigerate milk for her baby? In this day and age, a fridge and/or microwave is standard in any room. The water from the tap in the shower constantly ran hot and cold. Also, bathrooms are small.
Front desk staff were young, not friendly, nor personable. Two days in a row, my swipe card to my room was deactivated and I had to go back downstairs to get them to reactivate it. When asked why this is occurring, was told it might have to do with the card being too close to my cell phone or the cold. When I explained this couldn't have happened given the circumstances, was given a curt "I don't know",
The room was large and quiet though, which was nice. Good food in the restuarant and lounge.
