“A small drinking town with a government problem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2013

I frequent this pub quite often when not mining for those shiny rocks that make this town famous and I consider it one of the better haunts if you like your pints and upbeat atmosphere. There are always characters about, Steve-o with his classic pint, whiskey and paper, Davis with his booming laugh. Whether you visit in the summer or winter months you'll always have a good time here. The food is good, but the company you'll find here is what it's all about; there's something for the different types you'd likely find in a pub atmosphere.
Wing Knight is good, there's always a special flavor each wednesday, the burgers are tasty( classic bk, black jack), and their fries are nice and crisp( try the gravy, it's great).

* One of the only pubs to serve Guinness I've been to where you'll sometimes find a clover drawn in the head, and I've tossed back the black gold across the pond and couldn't find a gem like that over there.*

I'll see you out there. Knock up, the cold weather makes the beer taste better ;)

“Bangers and Mash in the Great White North”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 12, 2013

Who'd a thunk it: a dark-wood Irish pub, right in downtown Yellowknife? Oddly, it works, and is a must-visit whenever I am in town for business.

“Always an enjoyable night!”

The Black Knight is a nice pub with a good atmosphere. Good burgers and friendly service. A great place for discussion after the formal meeting ends!

“Great Burger”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2013

Went there for lunch to check out the " Only Scottish Pub in the Territories". My waiter had a difficult time recommending anything on the menu. He finally said"can't go wrong with the BK burger" Took his advice. Great burger loaded with mushrooms, cheese, tomato, lettuce and bacon. I opted for the soup instead of fries and was surprised it was steak & bacon chile!!! Awesome. Burger was only $12.95. Cheap by YK standards.
I'm going back for happy hour!!

“Disappointing brunch”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2013

I have always been a big fan of the BK but the brunch food just gets worse and worse. Today I ordered the Happy Breakfast off the new menu and I got a cold egg and soggy brown toast. My friends also dealt with an extremely oily omelet and untoasted soggy English muffins. It's such a shame that a place with such a great atmosphere and staff keeps serving disappointing food.
