“Slow service, mediocre food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2012

The kitchen added chicken to two dishes without our knowledge, and charged us for the inclusion of the chicken in the dish, even though we didn't order it. As we pretty much only ordered soup and salads, we didn't expect to be in the restaurant for almost 2 hours. Aside from the service issues, stay away from the seafood chowder. Whatever crap they serve doesn't hold a candle to Campbell's chowder, the fish is bland and flavorless, and everything is oily and kind of gross.

Wouldn't go back.

“Nice and quiet”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2012

Very small, nice and quiet. Never been disappointed with the food. Small portions and bit pricey though.

Our server wasn't the best this time, but the other server that was working seemed like she was very good.

There are better restaurants for sure, but I find most of them noisy. For a quiet romantic dinner, I like this place.

“Wanting more..”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

This restaurant is a perfect place for an intimate meal or just some darn good food!
Everyone in our party was so happy we went back twice in one week. The prices are right on par and the dessert was to die for.
We had the pasta, chicken, steak and all were very pleased.
It was definitely one of the better meals we enjoyed there!
You should try, we guarantee you will like it.
Best part was you don't have to overdress if you don't want to!

Fresh homemade pasta and a great selection of meals. GREAT and friendly service, our server made a couple of wine selections and turned us to a new favourite

“Wow! A wonderful dining experience.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2012 via mobile

Just back from dinner at Oliver's. Cozy spot, but not crowded: I hate feeling jammed in a restaurant. Service was efficient and friendly. I started with the Almond Baked Goat cheese appetizer that was served with grilled bread and tomatoes. This was unbelievably delicious and the portion was substantial. I then had two appetizers for my main, the crab cakes and a spinach salad. It was all delicious. My partner had the calamari to start and it was certainly the best we had on this trip. He then had a strip loin with scallops. Wow again! The scallops were exceptional: cooked to perfection. The steak was tender and grilled to taste. The veggies were delicious as well. This was certainly one of the most enjoyable meals we have had out and about. One word of 'caution', the portions are very generous so show up with an appetite.
