“Loved the beer; loved the town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2013

We walked from downtown St. John's to Quidi Vidi village to the brewery. It's a bit of a hike but nice to take in the sites and the lake. Plan about an hour for the tasting. We had a young woman who gave us some history of the area, the brewery, and the beer so it is not just a tasting. The beer is fantastic!!! If you are a beer drinker, or just interested in the area, this is a good stop on your trip.

“the way to Quidi Vidi -"what I saw"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 21, 2013

The best and the most beautiful way to Quidi Vidi is the way from Signal Hill by Ladies Lookout. I understood from the citizen of Quidi Vidi that the lookout was a place for the women who have waited for the man. This way is also a part of the North Head Trail. Please see also:http://www.pc.gc.ca/eng/lhn-nhs/nl/signalhill/activ/randonnee-hiking.aspx
Coming to Quidi Vidi please visit the pub "Inn of Olde". Linda Hennebury is the owner of this pub. She is also a painter. There is also a small beer garden where you can meet some native guys and have a nice talk about the tradition in Newfounland.
Then there is also a small lovely harbor with the Quidi Vidi brewery that produces beer from Iceberg water!!! You can visit it. And you can drink the beer, is delicious. Sometimes in the evening there is a kitchen party in the Quid Vidi brewery. The native guys meet together, play and sing songs. It is very good filing to be with this people together and dance and have fun.

“Neat tasing and local history”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2013

The small brewery is located in the tiny quaint fishing village. The "tour" is actually a tasting of their beers, which were quite good. ALso, the gentleman running the tasting provided a terrific commentary about the area, the village, and the beers. A great way to spend an hour.

“Great Micro Brewery.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2013

If you enjoy good locally made beer and are in St. John's Newfoundland you have to swing around to the Quidi Vidi Brewery and pick up a couple of squares. Try their novelty beer brewed with iceburg water; not bad. Not bad a tall.

“Wonderful place to visit.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2013

We visited the brewery on Aug 2/13. The brewery is in a small village and very difficult to find a parking spot. However, it is well worth the visit. The area is quaint and the scenery is breathtaking. We missed the tour but did attend the kitchen party upstairs on Fri evening. The music was lively and the workers and patrons were all so very friendly. It was one of the highlights of our 10 day trip to Newfoundland. We think it is a must see when visiting St John's.
