This is a great park for families and for photographers. The boardwalk is a nice 3 km walk through the park full of trees, ponds and meadows. It is also a great way to see some of the wildlife found in Newfoundland. We didn't get there by 10am which is when the park warden goes around to feed the animals. But, we did get to see some of the animals. The snowy owl, caribou, moose, lynx, great horned owl, peregrine falcon, snowshoe hare and the arctic fox. Then we got to see a few birds flying around the park, blue jay, flicker and a red squirrel making himself known. It was raining on and off while we were there but I loved the place. We had our rain parkas and enjoyed the day anyway. Well, worth the trip.
