This 80s style hotel is not worth staying at. Hampton inn,Best Western,Holiday inn express are much nicer. Pool area is old and nasty!! Cigarette butts around entrance. Worst Delta hotel in Canada!! Staff were not helpful hard to find only one sign street level and another rusty thing .

Before all the sports-team parents seek my head on a pike, let's get a grasp of reality.
I travel dozens of hotels nights a year ... for both work and pleasure ...
First and foremost, do your homework and get the lay of the land with respect to what is available in the vicinity and the weather.
at the end of the day the Delta Brunswick has many plusses:
National Rewards program and presence; covered parking garage; attached to Brunswick Square with several amenities and connecting pedways to surrounding areas. Good Life is in the same complex. MIX Resto-Bar is excellent for breakfast or supper. Alexandra is an excellent server.
The front desk staff has been truly accommodating... they know me by name, not because of my status card. Kris stands out in my mind.
In the minuses... the property is an old girl... due for a remodel. Hopefully Marriott can infuse some capital to make that happen soon. The rooms could use a facelift... wallpaper paint, carpets, shower fixtures, closet doors, furniture, alarm clocks... the 80's are calling and want their stuff back...
Rooms are clean enough.
If you are hung up on modern touches, this property is not for you.
Walls are a little thin... when sports teams are in town, PACK EARPLUGS. This is not unique to this property. In my experience, every hotel (no matter what brand) has this challenge.
It's a bit of a hike to check out, if you self-parked your vehicle in the parking garage. If you have time to shuffle your stuff up and down, it's not a deal breaker.
If you want a clean room, a decent shower and your vehicle protected from the elements, this is an excellent choice.
If you think the hotel is gonna suck before you book, then chances are it's gonna suck, regardless of the brand.
I like this property because of the abundance of restaurants within walking distance. If you were out at SJ East, the restaurants are limited to the national banner types.

Room Tip: 3rd floor is quieter, but a section is blocked off for the Signature Club.

This hotel is in dire need of an update. The room we stayed in (302) was terribly dated, though clean and comfortable.

The pool area is lacking in any sort of luxury and felt a little grimy. The ceiling is in disrepair. There were no towels offered here.

The good: This is a conveniently located hotel in downtown Saint John that allows indoor walking access via pedways to Harbour Station for concerts and to Brunswick Square for shopping. Staff are uniformly pleasant, the pool is bright and warm.
On the unusual side, this hotel is adjacent to the downtown Brunswick Square mall in Saint John. From the parking garage a slightly convoluted series of hallways and an elevator must be followed to reach the check-in lobby area, followed by another elevator ride to the room area. Hallways are long, carpeted, and a little dark, and rooms are carpeted, include nice bedding and flat screen televisions, and dated carpeting and draperies.
For a good price, it's a clean, adequate hotel. Great for families and events. Perhaps not my pick for a special romantic weekend away.

Room Tip: Hallways are very long, so ask for a room close to elevators

A very nice hotel; clean, good price and very courteous staff.
But the high light is the location; in the middle of a cold day you can walk to anything you want without going out....Gym(goodlife fitness) shopping mall, and tons of restaurant.
Will return there every single time possible!

While staying at the Delta Brunswick with a Cheer team we have been storm stayed, as a result of this we had no where to eat because there is nothing open. We are trying to find something for our 10 year old daughter to have for supper so calling room service yet they will not let us order anything because they are "to backed up". The staff member that we had talked to was very unhelpful and rude to us. Every other delta I have stayed at were very accommodating but yet this one was very unhelpful. I myself being a former tourism student i am very applaud that they would treat a guest that is paying an extra night with their hotel. I WOULD NOT recommend this place to anyone that I know.
