“We had a nice stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

my boyfried friend and I spent a week in Maritime Provinces, and stayed one night at Wild Rose Inn. We were surprised to see this wonderful and lexury hotel. The small country inn faces a full golf course, it has own large backyard. the room we slept was beautifully decorated with antique furnitures and quality pictures. bed was comfortable, room was clean, service was execellent, hot breakfast was the one we liked. Thank you for the warm hospitality and we will be back in two years.

The nicely decorated Inn is located just minutes outside Moncton. Wild roses line the walkway to the front door. The rooms were clean, spacious and well furnished. The beds comfortable, the breakfasts adequate and reasonably priced and service was provided promptly, with a smile.

Our room was covered in roses. TOO MANY ROSES! Everywhere, every fabric and wall. Very dated and the bed covers needed cleaning as they smelled old and stale. Breakfast wasn't too bad, but the scrambled eggs seemed oily. This is not a B&B. Breakfast is an extra fee. The grounds are lovely and large and it was quiet.

thank you for staying at our inn recently. the room you stayed is standard studio and is full of rose image. we have two rooms among 16 rooms showing rose image on wall and other design.
thank you for the review, which would be helpful to our management. we will make sure less oil when cooking egg.
we are Country Inn, not B&B. full hot breakfast is charged a few dollars ($7.50 per person).

À few positives :
Got up too late for breakfast because we slept poorly, it is normally served from 8:00 to 9:30. We didn't ask, but the owner graciously offered to serve it to us around 10:00 A.M. The Inn faces a golf course and the grounds have a certain charm. It is located about a 20-minute drive from Moncton, so you can easily go into town in the evening. The room was large.

But a lot of negatives :
Furnishings : the bed was much too soft. You could feel the springs in the bench at the end of the bed and in the sofa-bed. The bedcover has a strange perfume.

Decor : the « wild rose » wallpaper and matching « wild rose » bedspread, curtains and sofa coverings were far too busy, outdated, discoloured and smelled a bit musty.

Bathroom : heavily perfumed hand soap, rust in sink, hair shampoo not in an individualized container.

Acoustics : Walls were paper thin and no carpets on the floors, could hear people talking in restaurant directly below, and people coming upstairs or talking in the hall. Some street noise and train, although it didn't wake me up. Cleanliness : Found spot of something dried on floor that looked like blood.

Very disappointed and will not return. It's hard to understand why some reviews are so positive. My only guess is that some rooms have been renovated and others are not. Ours was the least expensive room. Beware of specials.

Room Tip: Ask to see the room before you reserve. Some rooms may be much better than others.

we are sorry you did not enjoy your stay and did not like the style of our inn, we should have asked you whether or not you liked the feature of this room, since the room you stayed is our standard studio, its wall paper, bedspread, curtains and sofa covering were specially made (all flower pattern) to match each other, to match our name-wild rose, and to reflect the features of country inn. the mattress is less than a year old. all floor in the hotel is hard wood floor, so you could hear people coming upstairs. the restaurant is under your room, which must be closed before 10pm so as not to disturb clients in the room. as a matter of fact, its price is the lowest among the same level of hotels in this area. we have different type of rooms, from standard to executive, and from superior to deluxe honeymoon suites.
we are 7.2 miles from downtown Moncton or Dieppe.

our room is very well decorated with antique furnitures, modern hifi music system, and flat television. bar fridge offers free drinks. bed is very comfortable, room very clean and quite. the country inn has a nice garden, huge backyard, and lots of wild roses. the hot full breakfast is only a few dollars, well presented, and tasted very good. we enjoyed long talk with the owner, who came from new zealand. the service was excellent. thank you for having us, and we will be back.

The rose bushes are most excellent! Suite was nicely decorated. Proprietors gave excellent service. Breakfast was fine. Golf course right across the street. Wireless internet was a bit spotty at times

Room Tip: If you need consistent internet access, ask for a room that is close to the router...
