“Great Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2011

The hotel is right off the main highway near Magnetic Hill. It's not the center of town but perfect for what we wanted. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.

Close to the highway; a bit of a jaunt to downtown. Nice size room. Good mattresses. Clean. Friendly staff. No king size, no double queen rooms. Good eathernet connection for the internet.

Stayed here a couple of times. Really close to the Casino. Rooms are clean and the usual hotel room. Kid's sports teams stay here as it is more affordable so it can be quite noisy during hockey/basketball season as kids are running up and down the halls. Other than that great budget hotel to stay at. Minutes away from down town and shopping and is at the bottom of the Magnetic Hill attraction.

Room Tip: Corner room 2nd floor is a larger room.

I stayed in this room as I cashed in some points for a free night.. The room was very small, some of the furniture was very out dated.. The bathroom was small as well and for the most part the toilet did not really work.. we were not in the room long enough to need it for that thankfully.. The microwave was not cleaned at all it looked like a pizza pop blew up in there.. The fridge worked well though kept the pop cold.. in the morning we were in the room directly across from the breakfast room so it was a little loud, but the breakfast there was pretty decent, Toast, Eggs, Juice, Bagels, Toaster waffles...

We stay here often when we travel to Nova Scotia. It is in a very convienent place - right off the highway. It is what you would expect for a Comfort Inn. The building is very up-to-date. They seem to have all the ammenities you would need for a short stay. The free breakfast was above average as far as hotel continental breakfasts go. You are close to downtown and near many restaurants and other attractions. The customer service was fine.

2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2007

We asked for a non-smoking room & got one next to the smoking rooms so the hallway was full of smoke. The room was spacious , had 2 double beds,a couch, fridge & microwave. Was expensive so we moved to the Amsterdam & loved it. The nicest person on staff was the breakfast server.
