“Modern, spacious, and functional”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2011

I stayed here with my mom and dad. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by a staff member offered to bring our bags inside. The front desk personnel were prompt and friendly. Our suite included one bedroom (for my parents) and a separate living room with pull-out coach (for me), and I have to say that – for a pull-out coach – it was actually quite comfortable! The suite was spotless and extremely spacious, and it was also very functional (e.g. k-cup coffee maker with various types of coffee, tea, and hot chocolate; a mini fridge, wine glasses, water glasses, coffee mugs, TV in each room, etc.). We went to the casino for awhile, then, after we returned to our room, we enjoyed some fresh air on our deck (which was quite large, but could have used a chair or two). Overall, I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a modern hotel-style room that is spacious, clean, and efficient – the suites are ideal for entertaining…and, of course, these rooms are perfect for those who would like to be in close proximity to the casino!

We went on a week long road trip from Ohio to PEI and back. We stayed at this hotel and casino quite unexpectedly. It was absolutely top notch. We are not much into gambling and brought a family, so we did not spend much time at the casino. But the rooms were huge and well appointed, the pool and fitness area were great. There were quite a few other families there. The hotel is only a year old and is extremely clean. This was just a stop over on our way to Quebec, but I could have stayed another day! Only down side is the food is just OK.

We stayed at the Casino for one night on July 16/11. We were taking our kids to Magic Mountain and this hotel was close by. We were very impressed with the room and the service. But when paying $189.00 plus per night, we expected to at least sleep. Well we were not told that there was a "Extreme Fight Match" being held in the hotel when we booked. So the partying started at 1:00 am and continued on until 3:30 am. The noise was unbearable, woke our kids and after calling the front desk several times, it finally stopped.

The continental breakfast is complimentary open from 7:00am - 10:00 am, we were there at 9:30 am and it was closed. So we headed to the buffet breakfast, guess what "Kids are not allowed in the buffet"

Another lady was checking out at the same time as we were and when asked how here stay was she said "Very loud". When they asked me I said "The noise was at times unbearable", we were both told that we should check the next time we book to make sure there isn't a fight on that night. I said "when we booked with children, you should have told me that there was a fight on and that they get run of the hotel and maybe we would have stayed elsewhere" or "perhaps you could put security on each floor to maintain some sort of control over your guests". I was told that they get rowdy and there isn't much the hotel can do because they are mostly booked by fight guests. So if you have children, please pick another hotel or get a schedule of events before you hand over your credit card.

We stayed at the Hotel & Casino for one night on June 28 after seeing the Tragically Hip play at the casino's venue (great show!). We had booked in advanced, and arrived at the hotel several hours in advance of check-in. To our delight, our room was ready (deluxe king - $159/night), and it was just beautiful. The room was quite large, with a very comfy king bed (and about 16 pillows), decorated in quality and style. The washroom was impressively large and it was gorgeous, with a huge, tiled standing shower area. We appreciated all of the "extras", too...including the locally-made Olivier soaps & toiletries. In addition, because we were staying during the day of a large concert, we were offered a complimentary valet service should we have issues finding a convenient parking space after returning from a day of sightseeing.

After the concert, we noticed that several of the younger attendants had booked what seemed to be the entire floor above us. However, we didn't experience any issues with noise or rowdiness as we retreated to our room for the night.

Our only real complaint was the buffet breakfast. Although the selections were plentiful, the quality of the food itself left a little to be desired. The casino restaurant, however, has some great options and, although a little pricey, we really enjoyed our pre-concert meal & drinks there.

We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back again! if you're looking for luxury at a great rate, this is the place for you.

Recently stayed at this hotel on a $59/night coupon with Casino Voucher and free buffet so defintely good value. Have stayed previous and although the room rate was much higher, the service and ammenities were just as top notch. I feel the regular rate is too high but includes a full hot breakfast which sure beats a Continental Service. This hotel is first class all the way.
