Like others have already stated, this place is very, very good actually excellent. It is a funky little house on a side street in Brandon. There isn't a tremendous amount of seating, so you might want to call ahead. Walk in and you think you are in a bad German gift shop with all of the decorations. It is actually kind of campy. The important thing is the food. Is it good? Nope, it is great. We had the schnitzel plate for two. It was more than we could eat. All platters come with:
Schnitzels, Potato Balls (Croquettes), Noodles (Spaetzle), Chef Potatoes, Baby carrots & green peas, Cauliflower topped with Hollandaise, Creamy Mushroom sauce, Gypsy Sauce, Sauteed Mushrooms.
They also have many other great German things to eat. Worth the trip and the time. The owner greets you and checks in on you during the meal. We loved it. Check out their website. It is worth seeing what you can eat. http://www.hanselandgretelsschnitzelhouse.ca
