We have stayed at the Redwood many times over the years and have always been pleased with the accommodations and service. After recently reading the reviews we wondered if something had changed. Fortunately we experienced the same great service and friendly staff. And the rates are reasonable as well. Biggest problem is the parking lot is often full.

We stayed one night at the motel. We have 3 young children and they were having a bath. They were somewhat loud but it was only 8:00 we had checked in around 6:30. The girl at the desk came to our room and told us that our children were too loud. I apologized and we continued to watch t.v. and play. Then the girl phoned our room and told us that we were too loud. After the 2nd call I walked down to the desk and reminded her it was only 9:00 she said that whenI can herar you in the hall it is too loud. I tried to explain the sitiuation but she was rude. I asked for a refund and said we would go if she continued to harass us. She said we could leave but no money would be refunded. The next morning at check out. The manger apologized to my husband and said that he hoped we would come again. He said I will never stay here again.

We were returning from a week-long whirlwind trip to SK and AB, and on a whim, decided not to subject our toddler to another 3 hours of driving and stay in Brandon for the night. Knew nothing about the Inn, but decided to try it out. Very friendly and hospitable. Desk staff gave our child some fruit in the evening when we checked in, even though the food station was closed. Room was comfortable, but basic; bed, bath, and furnishings, with bonus of pull-out couch. Wireless and cable were fully-functioning, pet friendly (even though we didn't have our dogs with us), and continental breakfast was good/standard. Inn was low-cost, quiet, and so relaxing. Didn't go swimming, but pool and hot tub looked clean and inviting. Are planning to stay here again soon.

This place should be condemned. It smells of must when you walk in the door. we chose it because it supposedly had a pool that was ideal for swimming laps, but we couldn't bring ourselves to go in it, fearing that it was as unclean as the rest of the place. Each room has an outside entrance, and we found that not only did our door not lock properly, it did not even close. We were informed by the nasty front desk clerk that she had nowhere to move us, and that she "didn't feel up" to coming and looking at it (I don't mean to be discriminatory, but this woman was extremely large, and wearing clothes that did not fit her. We had full view of both her breasts and her stomach). We literally could not get another room in the city, so we had to prop our luggage up against the door and make do. We were informed the next day by another guest that three rooms were closed due to bedbugs. The final straw was mold on the bread in the breakfast room.

I would never stay here again as my last experience was really unpleasant. Besides finding bugs on the mattress, the atmosphere is grimey, they do not properly clean the rooms and when they do attempt to clean the rooms they do it in a way that you wonder just how clean it really is. I won't ever stay at this hotel again AND I will never recommend it to anyone. They clain to have wireless connections in the rooms but when I went to use my lap top there was no connection..... did ask personal at the front desk about it and they acted like they did not know what I was talking about.
