“Perfect stay...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2013

Loved everything about the lodge - so comfortable, spacious, clean and bright. The staff were also fantastic. Though it's not in the village, they offer complimentary shuttle service (and it's close enough that a cab is very inexpensive - so the location shouldn't be a deterrent! Much better than the hotels in the village. Highly recommended!

Perfectly located beside Nita Lake, trail system nicely connect to the other lakes and village. During off season, hotel seems very quiet and clean. Room is very spacious and nicely finished. The only issue is the mattress is soft and little bit deformed!

Nita Lake Lodge is a beautiful resort, wonderful luxurious rooms, close to Creekside and many amenities (groceries, liquour store, local pubs and eateries) all within a short walking distance. The hotel is about 10 minutes drive away from the village but we appreciated the complementary shuttle that we could call on at anytime. The view from our room was great even though we were on the first floor. The great view, beautiful room, free parking in an underground parkade and shuttle service far out-weighed the higher cost of the room.

The lodge is beautiful, clean and very comfortable. The staff are friendly and do everything to make your stay pleasant. This is a high end place but does not feel pretentious. Our room was a one bedroom with a small sitting area and a bar type kitchen with microwave and fridge. The coffee shop is excellent (best coffee and cookies in town). The lounge is both relaxing and fun with great happy hours. The lodge is unique in that it is located in a very tranquil setting on a small lake with lots of walking paths and yet you have quick access to the village activities. You can walk to Whistler Creekside. The hotel shuttle service is wonderful and will take you into the Whistler Main village or where ever you want to go. The lodge is pricey but worth every penny.

Room Tip: Take the breakfast special if offered especially when skiing. Great start to the day.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2013

Read all the way to find why i gave 3 stars instead of single star.

We booked vacation well ahead in time. Just two weeks before the dates i got an email indicating the restaurants on the property will be closed due to some reason. I never got complete scope of the problem but we proceeded as planned. At arrival i noticed the entire hotel was in 'recovery' mode of some kind. It was mostly deserted and although bars were open but my first impression was that i paid over-paid for a place 'under construction'.

Next I discovered either the Hotel or Hotels.com messed up my room request and i ended up paying another fortune.

We got lake view 1 bedroom suite, and it was simply spectacular. The place was clean like 10/10. Perfect for couples. Spotless and gorgeous... bedroom.

Very soon we discovered (confirmed by a review posted below) that the hotel was rented to bunch of richies from New York to celebrate Passover. As a result, entire hotel was "kosherized". So when we arrived, the hotel was in process of getting back to normal.

I would have given them outright ZERO star since that clearly shows HOTEL does not care for guests... but only $$$. Anyways, i decided to give them 3 start because of the service we got from staff at BAR. All those folks at bar are simply great in customer service and gave us great company while we sat by ourselves in the empty lounge.

Hotel is right next to lake that has v nice walk trail. It is away from Village and parking in village is painfully difficult and expensive.

For the price tag of this hotel, i would rather prefer to stay at village in one of those 5start hotels. Village is where the action is. Use google map to see the neighborhood of this hotel... If you think you can easily drive up and down the village, then you are about to make the same mistake that i did.

I think this place is perfect getaway for couples... but not if you are seeking outdoor fun.

Room Tip: Lake view and one bedroom suite.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback and I do apologize that your experience was not as it should have been. Unfortunately we did have a large group just before your stay and it took longer than expected to get things back to normal at the hotel. I want to assure you that our number one focus is our valued guests and that we strive to provide a level of service which is customized and personal on each and every stay. I do hope that on your next visit you will experience the lodge operating as usual as the peaceful and friendly retreat our guests have grown to love.
Kind regards,

My husband and I stayed here for a snowboarding trip and truly enjoyed our stay here. We stayed in a studio room but it was so spacious and did not feel like a studio at all. Our room was clean, quiet and nicely decorated. Every time we talked to the staff at the front desk, they were super friendly, so accommodating and helped us when we didn't need help. We just happened to tell the staff that we were on our way to the village and they said that they would call the shuttle for us. We had no idea that they even offered a shuttle service. The Nita Lake Lodge is located on a pretty lake with a walking/bike path as well, and my husband and I took a stroll around the lake on our last day there. I highly recommend Nita Lake Lodge during your next visit to Whistler.

Nita Lake Lodge is the perfect place to make your Whistler trip memorable. The food is delicious, the art work around the hotel is amazing, the out door hot tubs have a stunning view of the mountain, and the rooms are flawless. I was not expecting the cafe to offer such an amazing variety of treats or the shuttle into Whistler Village to run on demand! We are really regretting not turning our one-night stay into two nights.

Room Tip: Don't miss out on a room with a view of the lake. It's magnificent!
