We stayed in building 2323, unit 8. This is an end unit on the ground floor, with good windows & light.
The Bluffs is built into the mountainside. Entrances are on the uphill side, and the main living rooms face out the downhill side, providing views of the surrounding mountains and Whistler valley.
The units are nominally ski-in/ski-out. It is about a block walk to the place where you can start skiing. You will find yourself on the lower end of a ski run that is rated 'black diamond' or expert. While this lower end of the run is probably only intermediate level difficulty, it has some steep hills and can look intimidating, especially if you haven't skied for a while or are in the beginner / intermediate skill range. So, if you're a more experienced snow-rider, you'll be fine, but if you're at all nervous around steep slopes, the 'ski-in/ski-out' may not be for you.
Our unit was nicely appointed, with heated floors in the bathrooms, jetted tub (very welcome after a long day on the slopes), cable TV with DVD player, a stereo system with CD changer, microwave, washer/dryer, etc.. A wireless internet hub is present, but wasn't configured yet when we were there. Plenty of parking is available in a common garage under the buildings.
Our main complaint was that the flow restrictors in the showers were far too stingy, making it a long process to rinse oneself. This seemed out of place, something you would expect in a budget hotel, not a luxury condo.
We had five adults in the unit the first few nights, which was OK in the roughly 1000 sq feet of living space. We could get about three showers before running out of hot water.
It took about 15 minutes to drive in to the main Whistler village, 10 to drive down the hill to the Creekside village. It was nice to be out of the village, which can be a little noisy at night, what with all the 'apres' nightlife.
Overall a great experience, but would want an easier 'ski-in/ski-out' access point next time.
