I was staying in the Summit Lodge for 2 nights, I came up to get a chance to go to the Scandanavie Spa before the snow came but it was pouring all weekend so I decided to go to the spa downstairs.
I had a couples massage there with a friend a couple years ago and remember it being good but not great. This time I went for the flower facial which was on special and the volcanic mud wrap. Now I was really looking to relax and the facial was actually painful at times but the results were good, the therapist was definitly doing a good job. The volcanic mud wrap was also very therapeuitc and relaxing with a nice back massage and heated blankets. I loved every minute of it.
It is considered one of the 50 best spas in the world... or maybe it's canada as I can't remember but I think a requirement for that should be a mineral pool or private jaquzzi / hot tub and pre - post relaxing area and this spa doesn't have that. But the services are wonderful and the treatment rooms are nicely done for a relaxing and exotic vibe which I love.
The other thing about this spa is they add on the tip before they give you the bill and I think it would be more professional to tip at your descreation. They do provide great service and experiance so I don't think it would be to much of an issue.
