“better than we had hoped”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2008

While planning our 5 day stay we were looking for reasonably cheap accommodation that was close to the mountain as we had no transport. Tyndall Stone lodge was one of the cheapest we could find and we were very pleased with the result. When we arrived we were begruding the fact we had to find the other hotel to check in... but this a fairly minor thing. When we entered into the hall I was a little concerned because it looked drab and there was the remains of a broken bottle. I thought we were going to be kept up all night by party goers. But we had no noise problems at all. The apartment was spacious with good kitchen facilities, a clothes washer and drier and temperature controlled rooms. Everything was neat and clean. In our 5 days it appeared our room was cleaned only once - but we were happy with this. There was also a shared spa and pool which we happily used after a big day skiing. The lodge is above shops and just by the supermarket so that was great. We didn't bother with the bus so it is a bit of walk to the lifts (when you are wearing new ski boots) but we followed others and wore our normal shoes to the base of the mountain and then put our sneakers into a backpack. We were going to use the reasonably priced lockers but found no problem skiing with the backpack on. We have already recommended this accommodation to our friends who are visiting shortly.

We went up to Whistler for a week of Mountain Biking and stayed at the Tyndall Stone lodge Unit #212.

The condo was beautifully appointed, with everything we needed, and SO spacious! The carpet was new, everything was very clean and comfortable. Nice big living area, GREAT porch overlooking Whistler Strollway. Right beside the BrewPub, and only about 5 minutes walk to the center of Whistler Village. There is a nice hottub and dip pool for unwinding also. There was even a gift basket and bottle of wine awaiting us upon arrival! This was the best vacation of our lives!

The owner mailed us the key, so there was no check in or out process - you just show up and you are home. The best!

Also Very good deal, less than $90 american per night! We booked via vrbo.com site - Unit #212

After months of planning we finally booked at the Tyndall Stone Lodge
in Whistler Canada. We were looking for a 10 day stay in the heart of the Whistler Village, with access to it all. Wow were we surprised
when we showed up. The place was better than we could have expected, very clean and the absolute perfect location. We had a corner unit with the most amazing views of the village. A short 5 minute walk to the lifts and just outside our doors was the most amazing village; shops, restaurants and even a movie theatre. This was truly the perfect location. The unit that we stayed in was a two bedroom two bath with full kitchen a heater and fireplace. We truly felt at home.
After a long day of skiing we could retreat back for a nice home cooked meal and then head out later in the evening for a drink or just to get fresh air. The skiing was absolutely amazing the best ever. We hit the weather just perfect, in the evening it would snow and snow which left perfect untouch tracks for early morning skiing. If your considering a trip to Whistler you must consider the Tyndall Lodge.

We stayed at the Tyndall Stone Lodge in December for one week. We were pleasantly surprised at the size of the apartment. It had a large living/dining room and a separate bedroom that could be closed off with doors. Only drawback was that I think noise would carry between the apartments so if you had noisy neigbours it might be a problem. Location was good - in the Market Place and close to grocery stores and only a 10-15 minute walk to ski lifts (although we caught the free shuttle bus a lot instead!). Would definitely stay there again though.

Good location and the bonus of secure underground parking sealed the deal. Got through whistler blackcomb website special offers and would definitely stay again. Clean, quiet and good value.

I have stayed at this resort in the winter and the summer and have nothing but positve things to say. It's close to everything, customer service was wonderful and the accomodations were above what we paid for. I would highly recommend this resort.
