“Pampered and spoiled”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2013

From the time we planned our retreat (5 crazy writers who wrote 5 novels in 5 months) to the moment of checkout, the Pan Pacific Whistler Village Centre spoiled us like we were superstars. Tom at reception could have felt overwhelmed by our various accommodation challenges, but he rose to the task with perfection. One man, one big dog and four women checking in for 5 nights. All arriving with plenty of luggage, food and drink, and lots of expectations. Everything went without the slightest problem. Perfect accommodation in the Penthouse on Level 9, two suites on Level 6, daily coffees delivered for our meetings, and a wonderful breakfast buffet (I never saw such generous fresh fruit offered at a Continental style breakfast: bowls upon bowls of fresh blueberries and raspberries and so much more). The staff genuinely cared for our well-being, and we suspect they listened in on our crazy meetings while cleaning around us, hearing first-hand how to write mystery and suspense. Leyla was really sweet to us, as were many others too numerous to mention. The rooms were impeccable in cleanliness and layout. Plenty of space, beautiful balconies with view over mountains and glaciers. A most inspiring venue for 5 future bestselling authors.

Room Tip: One-bedroom suites on the 6th floor are fabulous.

As part of our Northwest tour we went to Whistler. I booked the room on Hotels.com after reading good reviews. The hotel is newer and modern which I like. The room has two bedrooms, one with King and attached bath, the second a queen with the bathroom right outside the door. We had room 7715 which had a balcony off each bedroom overlooking the mountains. The living-room kitchen and dining room were also large an nice. The room came with a fully complete kitchen and dishes which we did not use. There was another huge patio balcony off the living-room with a table and chairs. We had a great treat of fireworks for the holiday weekend. The location could not be better, within walking distance to everything. Only complaint was from my wife that second bedroom or bathroom did not have a full length mirror. I highly recommend.

Myself and my husband stayed here in June for 3 nights as part of our 3 week honeymoon we were not disappointed with our choice of hotel, from the minute we arrived until we left all of the staff were fantastic, the room we got was lovely a 1 bedroom suite which was wonderful, had all the usual mod cons plus more, all in all I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and would hope to return again in the future.

Exceeded expectations, was my second time staying here in a year. Especially nice that dogs are welcome. Nice breakfast, clean rooms, comfortable amenities, and excellent staff service. Location is great, and rooms facing away from the village offer nice views and are even quieter than the ones facing the village. Would not hesitate to return, as it feels like a second home, more so with kitchenette units.

Room Tip: Participate in their loyalty program and book during quieter periods during the year for best room s...

Stayed here in June for 4 nights, after booking online in advance. I must admit I was a bit aprehensive about booking this hotel online, however, I had nothing to worry about. This hotel was perfect for us.

From the moment we checked in, the guy at the front desk (I'm afraid I can't remember his name, but he is a kiwi) and Joe (the concierge from Ireland) were both extremely helpful and accommodating. There was some confusion over our booking, but the guys were able to clear up matters and sort us out quickly without any hassle or drama.

The room we had was on the 3rd floor. We didn't have a view but it didn't matter to us. The room was fabulous ... very spacious with a seperate living room with kitchenette. It was massive for the 2 of us. Also, it was very clean, which is very important to me!!

Location wise you could not ask for better. It's right in the middle of the village and very close to everything you would need. The outdoor pool and hot-tubs were great as well, and have a great view of the mountains.

The breakfast buffet was another highlight, with a huge selection of food (although no hot food). We made sure to take full advantage on each of the mornings we stayed there!

We did have some issues with noise from outside during the day however, which was very annoying at the time. We did complain to the front desk and they explained that there was some minor construction work taking place just outside the hotel. However, as with all the staff, they were extremely polite and understanding. When we returned to our room later that day, there was a complementary bottle of wine waiting for us with a note apologising for the inconvenience of the noise - my wife and I were really impressed with such a lovely gesture.

Staying here ensured that we got to enjoy Whistler to it's fullest and we would definitely come back in the future if possible.

As part of a writer's group spending 6 nights at the hotel, I found it to be in a great location, the rooms luxurious and spacious, and the staff very accommodating and friendly - especially Tom at the front desk, Leila (Layla?) who supplied us with much needed coffee, and the cleaning staff who were all very respectful of our space.
As well, they were not only pet-accommodating but genuinely pet friendly. What more could you ask?
Would I recommend this place to my friends? You bet! I had a fantastic experience here.
I guarantee, I'll be back.

The room was lovely and spacious and very clean and the breakfast was more than adequate. Thanks once for making our holiday stress free
