“Expensive, Poor Service, Small servings of good food”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2013

Food is good but servings are small. Meals are over priced even for a resort. $3.00 CDN for a 12oz can of Coke. Service was poor. We were seated in a location to see the service bar - cooks but the food up to be delivered to the tables and the service staff took five minutes plus (after I got interested enough to start timing them) to pick up and serve. I never did figure what was going on with the staff - they seemed busy but nothings seemed to be getting done. Odd. IMHO, if you want Mexican food, there are much better places in Whistler. One we are happy with is the Mexican Corner.

“I don't recommend it...”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2013

The food is so bland, and so not worth the price. Even the beans aren't good. How do you mess that up? It took forever for the food and it wasn't even that busy. I ordered the chicken quesadillas and it had no taste at all, the chicken was overcooked and dry. It only came with beans as a side, no guac, no sour cream. It was such a disappointing lunch. This was my third time there and my last.

“Terrible nachos”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2013

I would have thought it would be incredibly challenging to produce bad nachos. The food took forever to arrive (we were told it would be a while going in so fair enough), but then the nachos arrived. The plate was hot.... however the food was cold. And half of the cheese wasn't even melted... how hard is it to melt cheese?!?! And the cheese that had melted was congealed again because it was cold. For nachos that cost nearly $16 I expected some toppings, all I got was some melted cheese, a few jalapeno peppers and scarce tomato scattering. Terrible! I should have sent it back, but because it took so long to get, I didn't see the point. The staff seemed friendly but the service was also well below par, especially for Whislter!
