“5 Stars all the way . . .”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2012

We have (today) returned from 10 nights at the Four Seasons in Whistler - all we can say is "brilliant"!!!

Okay - its probably not the cheapest hotel in Whistler - but you get what you pay for.

Great Rooms - lots of space, warm, clean and very quiet - no noise at all.

Great Service - nothing was too much hassle.

Staff - a real mix of cultures - Canadian, Americans, Brits and other nationalities - all polite, helpful and English-Speaking.

***** FANTASTIC SKI CONCIERGE ***** - this made our trip - 10 yards from the bottom of the slope - the guys/gals were on hand to help us with our boots, with our skis, fitting, re-fitting, equipment changes, hot chocolate, cookies and everything else you can think of. Again - you could probably rent stuff a little cheaper - but the fact that they are there, ON the slope - looking after you and your gear so you dont have to lug it anywhere, more than makes up for this. The quality of the gear is tip-top too.

The super-heated Hot Tub was especially welcome after a hard days skiing.

The Gym is open 24 hours a day and the Spa seemed excellent as well - there is a fully kitted out gym, a steam room and great showers - all clean, like new and well cared for - lots of towels and pampering.

Breakfast was excellent - with a choice of pretty much anything you can think of - cold or cooked - I loved the fresh Rasberries.

The only complaint was that the mattress was too soft for our backs - but they did their best to sort that out in the end - they should invest in some firmer items for the skier!

Would we stay there again - definitely - the Ski Concierge service alone makes that a no-brainer.

Cheers Guys & Gals.

Room Tip: its all quiet - but try and get one with a balcony! Ours had views of Blacomb Mountain :-)

The Seasons brand has been my favorite for years. My best customer service experiences have always come from a four seasons.

HOWEVER... This property has slipped considerably.

I have too many examples of poor service to list, so I'll include just the gem: After waiting excessively for my car to be brought up, and only after I approached the bellman... I was told that it was brought up and around the corner from where I was... WHAT? You bring up a car, hide it from the guest, and don't tell them that it's out of site? Did you actually expect me to divine its location?? This isn't a deal killer... But this and many of the rest of the staff DO NOT, have the four seasons attitude that to may hope for.

It is still a great hotel, one of the best in Canada, but it's value has diminished considerably.

A truly wonderful property in the heart of beautiful Whistler. Staff is typical "Four Seasons", very professional, attentive. There is also an excellent concierge team to help out and give great advises !! The restaurant is excellent, one of the best in Whistler & buffet breakfast is absolutly delicious ..The rooms are spacious, well equipped and offer a pleasant view. The pool area may be a little small and can easily get crowded with unruly kids on the week ends though. Great massages and facials at the spa .Congratulations to the management team for achieving such perfect result..Will be back for sure !!

By far the nicest place there. The service, rooms and food are brilliant - truly a memorable place.

Room Tip: All rooms have fireplaces and have a nice view so not really.

Our family had the pleasure of spending a week at the Four Seasons Resort in Whistler this Christmas. We have traveled extensively and stayed in many wonderful resorts. This resort was truly the finest we have ever stayed in. EVERYONE that works here is truly dedicated to providing the guest with exceptional service. Our rooms were luxurious and immaculate. Housekeeping was timely and thorough. As much as we enjoyed the quaint village and its restaurants it was extremely difficult to find a restaurant as cozy as the Fifty Two lounge in the hotel. There was great live music several nights a week and the food and service was consistently fantastic! This resort has become our family's "Gold Standard". We cannot wait to return!

Spent a few days near the end of June 2011 at the Four Seasons Resort in Whistler. We were very comfortable in our luxurious room. We found the staff to be friendly, attentive and well informed of activities and things to do. The concierge arranged an excellent bear viewing tour that afforded us great sightings and some excellent photographs. The restaurant options did a great job accommodating our strict vegetarian diets and we often ordered off-menu creating delicious meals. As we were visiting just before the busy summer season, the hotel was very quiet and we enjoyed the natural surroundings and excellent facilities without any crowds.
All in all, an excellent hotel that we'd recommend and would probably visit the next time we find ourselves back in Whistler.

2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2012

We stayed just before Christmas for 10 nights with 2 children. Having stayed at other Four Seasons we were expecting high quality of food, good service and family friendly.

The accomodation was 'what was offered on the box' but the room service was awful with food having sat around and the re-fried gloop turning to lard. We had an out of date room menu (only found out when we tried to order some hot food at 4am after awaking early with jetlag), the chef doesnt come in till 6am so no hot food from 11:00pm. This menu was not changed for the whole length of our stay although it was mentioned a couple of times!

The fires looked pretty as did the foyer but the fires were rarely lit and no-one sat on the sofas in reception. The only place to go to other than order drinks in your room (and wait 35 min - always 35 mins, no sooner or later) is the dark gloomy bar in the basement where the tv's were on constantly and it either had no-one else in or it was heaving or quiclky nowhere to sit because its so small. There were no comfy sofas to sit on unlike the Fairmont. The menu only had one variation each day ie:- fish Monday, hot dog Tuesday, mini burger Wednesday etc... These were available but under a different guise anyway, so no change!

If you are looking to stay for longer than a couple of days and want to have a fairly healthy dining option then this is the wrong place.
