Fabulous! - I absolutely loved this place. Massive room / suite with a fully equipped Kitchen, dining table, two large sofa's, separate TV room, two bathrooms. This place was bigger and more luxurious than most peoples appartments. It was a great introduction to the area, and having chosen it before going to the main village of Whistler, I was very, very pleased. Great discounted rate as we were out of season. Very minor down side; the fans that were all inexplicable linked to the heating system...but perhaps that was meI couldn't suss out how to switch it off. BUT....defintley hstay there again and again, and again...pool, hot swimming pool and jacuzzi all great too.

Our suite was huge, even though it was just a single bedroom one. A large kitchen area, equipped better than most homes, large dining table easily suitable to seat six or more at a push, with a large living area with sofa and armchair and a vaulted ceiling which made the place seem even bigger. Outside was a lovely balcony overlooking the Olympic square, with chairs and table but still felt nice and private. The bedroom was superb, with quality bedding and lots of space, and of course the bathroom was equipped to the same high standard, with jacuzzi bath tub and walk in shower. Every touch in this place spoke of quality, including the feature fireplace, even down to the coffee maker and the ice dispensing fridge.

The lobby of the hotel also was a delight, with plenty of seating, a reading area and big open fire places. All this and due to the season the place was quiet as a mouse and superb value. I'm confident that even at high season this place would be worth the money, we loved it and will be returning.

This place felt like a genuine quality location in a beautiful town, reception (check in via their sister hotel next door) was very helpful, even providing a list of restaurants which had deals on that week! We had parking under the hotel (free) and free wifi.

The First Tracks is a building hotel / chalet style up market suites, right opposite the gondola in Whistler Creek, the little annex to Whistler Village which has had millions pumped into it and now offers peacefulness, a top notch supermarket, Starbucks, a few shops and a few pubs / restaurants (though some, plus the gondola, are shut out of season).

The Lodge was superb, a large suite with modern facilities including kitchen and a great gym / pool area too. The cycle path walk of 4km and bus back was a great way to pop to Whistler in the evening, though the room was so good we cooked for 2 nights. The only negative was a propensity for horrible energy saving curly lightbulbs which we changed for old style ones of our own due to the way the new ones affect our health.

All in all we enjoyed our stay. Great rates out of season and good negotiation by them to knock a bit off and ensure we stay longer.

We wanted to stay at Whistler Village and just couldn't find a nice 2 room suite open for our friends and us ,anything available charged extra for the other couple(it's a two room suite?)and they all charged for parking.We called a reservation line that dealt with all hotels in the area,had a fantastic girl names Kylie who recommended First Tracks Lodge,we really weren't sure as it wasn't in Whistler Village.Wow are we ever happy she suggested First tracks Lodge,only a 5 minute drive to the village,AMAZING and very large clean rooms,it had a deal which made the room a super great deal but it also included free secure parking....will never stay in the village again.Whistler Creekside was was beautiful,quiet and had everything we needed,Can't wait to go back
