It started with high expectations. The fancy web site, the "boutique" in the name and the emails we got from the hotel, all made me expect a very luxurious stay. This pretentious spirit lingered on when we walked in and found chocolates on our kitchen table and Aveda products in the shower. However, this is where it stopped. We stayed in a two-bedroom suite. The "public" space in the suite (kitchen and living room) was spacious and well- appointed. The bedrooms, however, were extremely small. We needed a crib fitted into our room, and it took quite a lot of effort to just to tuck it in. We practically couldn't move inside the room once the crib was there. When we contacted the front desk and asked for another room, they were quite dismissive and I got the impression they didn't go out of their way to help us.
The shower was extremely inconvenient, with nowhere to put the soap inside the shower itself, and toilet that hardly flushed. It was a warm day, yet we couldn't leave the windows open as the street noise, till very late at night, made it very difficult for us and for the kids to sleep (and we were at the 6th floor, in a so-called mountain view room).
So all in all, we had a annoying stay at this hotel. It felt crowded, hot and uncomfortable. Nothing even remotely luxurious. I would definitely recommend that families with young children think twice before booking this hotel.
