“Family get together”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2014

We spent 4 nights at the Tantalus in mid March while on a ski break. The suite was a 2 bedroom affair and was good value. The room itself was a bit scuffed up but it was well equipped and comfortable. And important to us this time - pet friendly. There is no restaurant or bar attached but all of that is an easy walk to the village and there is a shuttle bus during the day to the lifts so you don't have to do a heel walk in your ski boots.

Just returned from 1 week stay at the Tantalus as a group of 4. We had 4 people (2 couples) in a Premier 2 bed suite - it was fantastic. the rooms were huge and the lounge/kitchen area was perfect for chilling after a day on the slopes - we all had plenty of space and the 2 bathrooms were a huge bonus. The hotel was in a fantastic location around 5 minutes walk from the main village - although we did take advantage of the free shuttle when we had skis and ski boots with us! Free ski storage was an added bonus, as was the wifi. Complimentary hot chocolate on our return from the slopes was a lovely touch.

The staff were amazing - nothing was too much trouble. I cannot say enough good things about the team there - they really do make you feel so welcome.

We had an amazing trip to Whistler and the hotel was absolutely perfect for us. I would highly recommend it for groups and families - I know we will be taking advantage in the summer for the biking season.

We had a trip for 8 guys to Whistler. The Tantalus was fine, as it managed to accommodate us all quite comfortably.

The location is a little out of the village, so there's a walk at night to get to/from the main vibe of the place. The hotel runs a shuttle service during ski hours, which saves you lugging all your gear.

The hotel is clean with daily housekeeping. Our bathrooms were a little dated, but the kitchen, living and bedrooms were newer and clean. Beds were comfortable.

Reception was kind enough to allow us an extension of a couple of hours on our check out time, which was a nice touch and appreciated.

I've stayed at the Tantalus several times before with family, and have booked to stay there again during the summer. It's a good hotel, and, based on the location and cost of staying there, the accommodation is spacious and well worth it.

Love the luxurious old school feel and the friendly indian staff! The kitchens were clean and had a nice place to store my board. My family was so happy and the most reasonable rates in whistler. Love the hot tubs !!

We had a great stay at the Tantalus Lodge at the end of February. We were a large group and their rooms were more than accommodating with full kitchen amenities to make meals, spacious bedrooms and great entertainment for all ages. We had little ones and it was convenient to be close enough to the village to walk (or take the free shuttle) yet be far enough away that you don't have to hear all the noise that can come from the village of Whistler.
The staff there were amazing especially the housekeeping staff who were very friendly and we really appreciated all that they did to make our stay so enjoyable.

Thank you again Tantalus!!

If you are traveling with family and you are not too fussy about life's little luxuries, then this is the place for you. You will find well appointed, clean rooms and bathrooms, TV and ironing board, fully stocked kitchen, and lots of closet space, shelves and hooks for storage. There is an outdoor pool and 2 hottubs, frequented by an always friendly crowd. There are no noisy bars, restaurants or late lounges at this lodge, which keep the place fairly family friendly, however, the nightlife and shopping is a mere 5 minute walk away. In the mornings you can get a shuttle to drop you off at the village, so you don't have to shuffle your way there in ski boots. In the afternoons you can catch the shuttle bus back. The staff is genuine and helpful, we've had nothing but friendly faces greeting us. I am sure we will be back.
