“Priced right but you can tell why.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2013

We rented #66 over the Labour Day weekend. Everything was explained ahead of time, the separate check in process at the Chamois etc. The layout of the buildings are a little strange so don't expect a straight forward first impression. Having said that the photos online were true and complete. The price was great. The location is great too. Right across the street from the IGA and Village. Easily walking distance to all the Village stuff and eats.

Now the downsides - this is a party place. Every unit around us was a rental. On our weekend there was lots of young folks enjoying. Great except competing music intruded on our peace. The 10 pm quiet time was sort of observed. Sorta. Also you can tell this is one of those buildings chucked up in the 90s. Thin walls means you can hear those on the stairs going up beside the units. Like I said everything worked and was clean but you can tell the quality was never top notch in the first place.

Bottom line is that it is priced right considering it's Whistler but if you want peace and solitude this is most definitely not the place to be.

Room Tip: Pay attention to the limited check in times. Could be a major problem if you can't get there in...

We booked through whistler retreats which was basically 2units adjoined that is 2 levels, the stairs are inside and are pretty narrow and steep, but carpeted. the first level has a big deck with table and chairs a bedroom with a queen bed and a living room full kitchen, bathroom and washer and dryer. then you walk up another flight and this is a 1 bedroom with an attached bathroom and deck with hot tub, and chairs.
Positives: Roomy, 2 bathrooms, big decks, nice kitchen, and i like the area close enough to the market and village, nice having a hot tub, public pool and hot tub, underground parking was included, and nice living room with fold out couch and flat screen tv.

Negatives: they put a hold on our card for the deposit the night before we came and it was$750 i was shocked about that and when i called, the night operator said someone would call me back and was very rude hung up on me and no one ever called me back.(it says on the res they would run the card upon check in so beware)
It was not very clean, there were dirty socks left in the bedroom, i had to re wash any dishes i used, the blankets were to gross to even be near, the sheets were ok. The hot tub is not hot just warm, and be careful with those stairs, my 5 year old got hurt on them.

overall we had a great time the negatives did not ruin our time and we have stayed at this complex before and would do it again. hope this helps!

Booked through resort quest Whistler which lacked some courtesy to tell us that you can't even check in at the complex and have to drive to upper village to the Aspens to check in. Paid $15/night for parking that is made for minis and not regular cars so everyone's cars overlap spaces making it tight and akward.
As family of 4, we took a 1bdrm with hot tub and it was great. Clean and comfortable, some furniture a bit worn but then we didn't fuss as much with kids leaving glasses on wood tables etc.
Location is awesome but not so much for skiers. It would be a fair hike through the village to get to the lifts. We loved being close to everything else and the facilities are good.
People in the outside common area at night just normal chatting is heard easily so not sure what it would be like on weekends or hot nights when everyone hangs outside more. Windows are just a bit thin.

Room Tip: hottub is a great option to have.

“Clean, well maintained unit in excellent location. Across the street from the market and village stroll, neat the Olympic plaza. Unit is located on the east outside of Glaciers Reach which means it is very quiet for a unit this close to the village. Unit is well supplied. Management is very good and over the years has responded quickly to our minor concerns. You need not be worried that there is not an onsite office. If stairs are a concern for your party, be aware this is a two level unit on the second and third floors of a three story building - counting the ground level as first floor. While a car is not necessary in Whistler, parking is included but the spaces are tight and height is about 6'8". We have stayed in this unit twice and five times with this manager. I highly recommend units he manages. You will be hard pressed to do better in Whistler. He takes care of his properties and his customers.”

Room Tip: Unit numbering is confusing so look at the location map of the property to save time finding your en...

we loved whistler and glaciers reach was perfect. apt was clean and well stocked with everything we needed, including washing powder.our apt was in a good quiet location with fantastic views from the balcony upstairs of the twin mountain peaks. loads of sunshine and we even used the hot tub despite 30degree heat. very handy to walk to shops and restaurants. with so many activities on the doorstep we had an action packed holiday with lots of good food. only disappointment- we didn't see any bears. too hot apparently when we were there! highly recommend the downhill mountain biking and if never been on the mountain before, good idea to hire a guide, level of knowledge of the trails was amazing and good to be forewarned on occasion.
can't wait to return and would definitely recommend glaciers reach to anyone.

We enjoyed our stay very much. It was very quiet since it was away from the noise of the village but only a short walk to anywhere we wanted to go. Trevor was most helpful prior to our visit and very professional.

We have just returned from staying at no.16 Glaciers reach. On arriving at this apartment my heart sank! There was nothing in the details to suggest it's position which was about as close to the main road as possible. Who wants to sit in a hot tub on view to all the passing traffic? The outside space was non existent and noisy. We have stayed at these apartments before and have always found them spacious. No.16 is cramped and small. there is way too much furniture in the living room. We had to ask for more hangers and the smaller bed room had no drawer space at all. Having read previous reviews which had commented on the state of the carpets and promises of having them replaced I could not believe the state of them. I understand that some people don't respect their surroundings but for goodness sake Galib have some hard floor put down. The carpet in the main bed room is a joke. It reminded me of the worst student housing standards. The problem is I suppose you work on the fact that not many people will return so why spend money? We paid in the region of $2000 dollars for this place which I am so angry about. We did think about contacting at the time but couldn't really see the point. It was little things like on the one night we stayed in and decided to watch a DVD it took my husband half an hour to put the thing together. It's s good job he is technically minded. So all in all not happy and feel we have been ripped off big time. Don't stay here it is dark and depressing.
